Grayscale VS SEC 🦅

Friends, hello everyone. Recently, the topic of Grayscale and SEC struggle has become very common. After talking with several of my friends who are interested in financial markets, I realized that most of them do not understand what is going on in their rivalry. 🟠Grayscale is a fund that is a leader in digital currency investments. It was established in 2013 as a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group. Its peculiarity is that it manages digital assets on behalf of its clients. As of January 1, 2022, the fund had assets worth $43.6 billion under management.

🟠Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) is the world's largest bitcoin fund, as well as the first ever publicly traded trust based on a digital currency. It allows investors to speculate on bitcoins without having to buy them directly.

Owning GBTC is not the same as owning a real bitcoin. GBTC is a stock. The trust offered to convert GBTC into a bitcoin ETF, but was refused by the SEC. There are still legal proceedings on this issue.

📍 Why is this important?

A Bitcoin ETF is an exchange traded fund that includes only BTC. By buying shares of such a fund, investors can earn on the growth of the cryptocurrency exchange rate.

In simple words, an ETF simplifies the entry of large investors into the crypto market and makes investments in digital currency familiar to them. That is why American companies have been trying to create it for the last few years.

A simple but effective strategy 💅

Friends, today I decided to share one of the simplest, but useful strategies for investing in long-term debt. It may sound corny, but as you know - "everything ingenious is simple."

To invest competently, you need a strategy. They often seem complicated, especially if there is little free time. So keep the simplest one.

➡️ Just buy
The essence of the strategy is to buy a crypt once a month and withdraw it to a hot or cold wallet.

An important condition: under no circumstances should it be sold in a bear market.

🟠How to implement:
1. Choose a convenient date of the month. For example, it could be your payday;
2. Set the amount you are willing to invest each month. For example, $300.
3. Choose the assets you want to have in your portfolio on the next bull. For example, ETH, APT and ARB.

🟠Advantages of the strategy:
— With the arrival of the bull, you will definitely get a profit;
— Spend a minimum of time. At the same time, we earn no less than with other strategies;

Perfect portfolio balance 🤬

Friends, in addition to yesterday's post, I decided to add some more information. This time it's about the competent management of the investment partfel.

Would you like to wait every day and be afraid of a market collapse? For many, this is strange, because the answer is "of course not." It's as strange as not doing portfolio balancing. A good crypto portfolio is not afraid of the red market. It solves all problems by proper balancing.

🟠Starting balancing
First we need to understand what we will balance. We have distributed coins into three categories: Tier-1, tier-2 and stablecoins.

Each category will take its own percentage in the portfolio. Let's learn to distinguish them:

🟠Tier-1 | 60%
These are top projects with large partnerships. Their token should already have an application, and the capitalization should exceed $1 billion. They attract us by the fact that they will definitely live to see the next bull and with a very small probability they will become a scam.

There were exceptions in the form of the big bang, such as LUNA and FTT. But we are ready to say with confidence that 8 out of 10 projects will definitely survive.

Example of Tier-1 coins: BNB, ETH, MATIC.

🟠Tier-2 | 20%
Projects with a capitalization above $200 million. For some Tier-2 coins, it may exceed $1 billion, but they will not be Tier-1 due to the lack of a personal blockchain. This is puzzling.

A small capitalization will help them open up and give more x's in the bull market. By investing a small percentage of the portfolio, we get maximum profit and minimum risk.

Example of Tier-2 coins: SUI, LINK, UNI.

🟠Stablecoins | 20%
This is our reserve, which we use to buy coins in case of drawdown. Stablecoins can never be superfluous in a portfolio.

Example: USDT, USDC, DAI.

TON Wallet is officially integrated into Telegram 💎

Today there was some interesting news about which I decided to make an explanatory post.

Pavel Durov confirmed the integration of TON Wallet into Telegram. From November, the wallet will be available for all users outside the US and some other countries.

🟠TON Space is a non-custodial wallet based on The Open Network. It allows you to buy and sell crypto, including bitcoin.

"TON Wallet, a third-party mini-application inside Telegram, will introduce a whole new Web 3.0 dimension to hundreds of millions of Telegram users," said Pavel Durov.

🟠This all looks like a very good prospect for mass adoption. By 2028, TON Foundation plans to attract about 500 million people to the ecosystem! As of today, there are only 15 million active users in the Web3 industry. That is, thus, TON intends to attract 33 times more users to Web3 than there are now.

📍Important: do not buy the TON coin with all your money against the background of the news, because it is already overbought, especially given the current market conditions. It is unlikely that it will give you a lot of X, both in the short and medium term. Especially given the current capitalization and circulation. All in all, the risk/reward here is frankly not the best. Turn off your emotions and invest your assets as rationally as possible.

Is it worth buying a TON? 💎

In addition to yesterday's post, I wanted to add to it. Despite the positive news about the wallet launch, the TON coin has a lot of flaws that you might not know about.

🟠The valuation of the project at this stage is quite large and it's unclear why it's worth so much (around $5 billion). For example, there are ecosystems like Solana, Cardano and so on. They have existed for a long time and have a large system of products (add-ons over their system). TON has no such thing.

🔤 All other aspects I will write in thesis:

• there is not enough liquidity in the market right now to promote a coin with an already large capitalization ($6.7 billion;)
• the project does not have such a rich and developed ecosystem, if we compare it with its closest competitors;
• there is no comprehensive information about tokenomics, except that the token is subject to 0.6% inflation every year;
• there is a suspicion that most of the tokens are in the hands of the team (they are locked for 4 years). So there is a risk that once unlocked, they may sell their assets, which would negatively affect the price.

➡️ At the moment, many indicators suggest that the risk/return on TON is frankly not the best. This is just my opinion. Not financial advice.

📍 I do not deny that the project may change its approach and then the situation may change. I say this only by analyzing the data that we have now. As we know, a bull market helps many coins to grow and TON can be one of them.

Another scam story ⛔️

I decided to share with you another scam story. This time, one of the most popular people in the business sphere, Mark Cuban, got into it.

➡️The billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team had coins withdrawn from the crypto wallet totaling about $870,000. Cuban immediately after the hack transferred $3 million to the USDC on Coinbase.

By the way, he confirmed the incident. And he said that he most likely downloaded the wrong version of Meta Mask. Therefore, always check the sites from which you download the wallet, programs, updates, and so on.

The First crypto scam in Hong Kong 🇭🇰

Hong Kong is one of the world centers of the entire cryptocurrency. Do not take the news that is now appearing in the media as the ultimate truth. It is clear why this is being done, and why, before the most important event of autumn, we have more news of both negative and positive nature.

Fed puts rate on pause 🦅

Crypto is one of the most volatile markets. But even here there is a place for stability. Let's find out why stablecoins are stable.

⚫️Stablecoin — literally means a stable coin. This is a token that under normal conditions cannot rise or fall. It is always at the same price point. Often its price is pegged to the dollar: 1 token = $1. The most popular of them are USDT, USDC and DAI.

This is a good option if you don't want to invest in crypto, but you need to keep the money in dollars.

🧥 How do they stay stable?
Stablecoins are stable due to reserves in the bank. Which means that for every US dollar paid, there is 1 national dollar in the company's bank account. But these are centralized stablecoins. Decentralized ones achieve stability with the help of smart contracts and reserves in the crypt.

📔 Is it always stable?
Sometimes the price of stablecoins may change, depending on the circumstances. This term is called depeg.

A depeg is a situation when a fixed asset loses its 1:1 price peg. This is often due to FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubts). Some stablecoins cannot withstand the flow of negative information and get rid of it.

⚫️The most famous depeg was associated with Terra and its UST stablecoin. Now it is estimated at $0.01.

🟠It is important to note that the activity of intruders in 2023 has greatly increased. Monthly losses from phishing attacks exceeded $136 million, which is twice as much as in 2022.

The worst month for BTC will end soon 💰
