8 big announcements from EthCC 2023πͺ
β
β‘οΈHi everyone, today Treysi will update you on the news from EthCC 2023 from Paris
1οΈβ£Lens V2 π±
The social protocol has unveiled details of its big update, which is based on the Open Actions concept. It allows users and developers to "compose their own smart contracts" to perform the action of any external smart contracts on any Lens publications, including crosschain. In addition, Lens V2 features a new Profile Manager system that supports the ERC-6551 token standard.
2οΈβ£UniswapX π¦
Briefly, UniswapX is based on a Dutch auction mechanism known as "Dutch orders", where the price of an order starts above the current market price and gradually decreases over time, incentivizing the order to be executed as soon as it becomes profitable. In doing so, UniswapX outsources routing tasks to market makers, which should help with more efficient pricing. UniswapX also features commission-free transactions, MEV protection, and no fees for secure transactions
3οΈβ£Chainlink CCIP
Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) has launched on the mainnet.
The protocol is designed for communication between different blockchains. It initially supports Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon and Avalanche, and has already been adopted by DeFi giants like Aave and Synthetix. On CCIP runs, for example, the Synthetix Teleporter system, which burns and mines SUSD into Ethereum and Optimism.
4οΈβ£Starknet Appchains
Following Optomism Superchain, Arbitrum Orbit and its appchain/L3 startup framework, Starknet has launched. The first appchain should launch soon.
5οΈβ£Gnosis Pay + Gnosis Card
Gnosis introduced two new products at once - the Gnosis Pay payment system and the Gnosis Card debit card linked to non-custodial wallets. Gnosis Pay will use Gnosis Chain as L1 for "user savings accounts" and the new Polygon Supernet-based L2 for "spending accounts". For now, the card is only available to EU residents.
6οΈβ£Mantle Mainnet Alpha
Mantle is an L2 worth looking at because of its modularity: the network relies on its own transaction execution, Ethereum L1 for settlement and EigenLayer for data availability. The early phase of the network is primarily for developers, there's not much to do there yet, but that's likely to change soon - in the meantime, you can contribute funds to the bridge.
7οΈβ£Linea Mainnet Alpha
Another alpha mainnet, this time from the ConsenSys team. Linea is a zkEVM with native integration with Metamask and Infura, so it will be interesting to see what level of activity this network will eventually achieve (so far it's business as usual).
8οΈβ£EVM is expanding its sphere of influence
Tezos and Solana have tried to attract Ethereum developers to their networks. Tezos introduced on Etherlink, an EVM-enabled solution that enables onchain settlement. Solana announced Solang, a compiler that allows you to write smart contracts for Solana on Solidity. Nobody managed to kill Ethereum, now everybody wants to be friends with it.
β Will you be keeping an eye out for projects from this announcement?

Binance: disappointing outlook π¨
β
Friends, hello everyone. Today I decided to share with you a couple of interesting thoughts about Binance. In brief, the situation of the exchange is not the best.
π After yesterday's situation with Huobi, I decided to consider the "economic state" on other top exchanges. Binance was the first. This year the exchange has been quite stormy and, as a consequence, caused a significant decrease in trading volume.
βΊ It all started about a year ago when they were affected by the bankruptcy of Celsius and Terra. Then Binance, to somehow even things out, expanded its zero commission promotions to $13 pairs of $BTC, but this didn't help much, but instead led to additional costs. At the moment, the exchange is mainly focused on trading TUSD with no commissions.
π The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a lawsuit against CZ. The regulators wanted to completely deprive the exchange of the US market and accused it of facilitating illegal activities and trade manipulation. There were even rumors of shutting down BinanceUS, but in a vote, the team did not come to a unanimous decision to liquidate the company... .

What happens after Bitcoin halving π
Hi everyone, Treysi is on the line. I decided to share with you one interesting statistic about the behavior of BTC price after the halving.
π For beginners, halving is a planned reduction in the number of newly issued bitcoins (BTC), which are created and distributed to miners who perform verification and validation of transactions on the network.
π A survey was conducted, which revealed that 60% of investors expect a bull market to start and Bitcoin price to rise after halving in 2024. More than 17,000 people participated in the survey.
Survey data:
β’ 59.9% - bull market after halving;
β’ 17.3% - no bull market in 2024-2025;
β’ 22.9% - I don't know.
β Your opinion: will the bull market start after halving?
π - Yes

Who has the most BTC? π§‘
I see that you like posts with various interesting statistics, so I prepared another interesting topic for you....
π According to analysts, after a 77.4% drop in the price of Bitcoin over the past two years, the big whales not only continue to hold it, but also gradually accumulate it.
β‘οΈ Here are some figures of the biggest BTC holders:
β«οΈ MicroStrategy holds the most BTC at 152,333, which is roughly $456.7 million.
β«οΈ Marathon Digital Holdings increased its bitcoin balance by 28.94% (from $10,054 BTC to $12,964 BTC).
β«οΈ Hive Blockchain was the only company that reduced its assets from 3091 to 2332 by selling 759 BTC.
β«οΈ Galaxy Digital Holdings ($12,545 BTC), Tesla ($10,500 BTC) and Riot Platforms ($7,275 BTC) are now the third, fifth and eighth largest asset holders.
β‘οΈ If these companies build the right strategy to sell their assets, they are more than likely to quietly make ~1,5X of their invested funds. If of course bitcoin follows all the trends and patterns that have gone before.

How $20,000 worth of NFTs were stolen βοΈ
γ €
This is Treysi. Friends, today I would like to offer you a break from numbers and statistics. I have prepared a cautionary tale for you. It happened to a good friend of mine. About how he was cheated out of $20,000.
βοΈ Let's get started. The story will be told in the first person.
"Couldn't sleep for a long time. At 4:30 AM decided to sit at the computer so my eyes got tired and I went to bed. Remembered that I have an OG role in the Sui Name Service project. Went to Discord. Wanted to get active since I haven't done that in a while. As soon as I logged into the chat, the official moderator drops a message with an offer "The first 1000 people will get a special drop from our project".
π I thought, "Wow, how lucky I am.". In the message itself there was a link where you had to connect your MetaMask wallet. I did everything, but during the confirmation stage MetaMask gave me a message about "suspicious connection", which made me suspicious. And I was starting to wonder: the Sui blockchain is asking to connect a MetaMask wallet! - weird. I mean, they have their own wallet. I also looked at the domain. It's weird too. Disconnected all wallets and forgot about it. Went to sleep.
π In the morning I wake up, go to the chat room of another project and see that the chat room where I was sitting yesterday is gone. Then I have a logical chain. I remember that at night I connected my wallet. And that's when it all made sense to me.
I went to OpenSea to check my NFT in the amount of almost 20000$, which were on my wallet. And I saw that they were all gone.
π So why did I get caught in a scam, although the message was from official moderators. In the end it turned out that the moderator's account was hacked. The link hung for 5 seconds and I got caught in them.
It's very frustrating that this happened."
β Would you like more stories like this? (I know many such cases)

PayPal wants to take over the crypto market π±
Friends, hello everyone. There is one interesting news today.
I think many people remember that recently the payment system PayPal announced the launch of its stablecoin - PYUSD. But that's not all...
π Today PayPal announced the launch of a new service - "Cryptocurrencies Hub". This platform will allow users to hold and transact Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly through their PayPal account.
π The updated terms of use tell us that users will be able to not only store, but also buy and sell cryptocurrencies, as well as pay for goods and services using them. There is also the possibility of converting between the new PayPal steible, PYUSD, and other crypto assets.
However, there is a nuance: you will not be able to keep the digital cryptocurrency itself in your PayPal balance - you will only own a "display" of its amount.
β Do you think PayPal will go even further? (create its own blockchain, cooperate with major exchanges, etc.).
π - Yes, of course
π€ - No

Binance has filed a motion for a protective order against the SEC's actions πΈ
Binance has filed a motion with the court for a protective order. The company believes that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has exceeded its authority. The petition says the regulator's requests are "overly broad" and "unduly burdensome"
π Recall that the court issued a consent order regarding the case in June 2023. Prior to that, the SEC expressed concern about the reliability of custody of assets of clients of the US division of the exchange and demanded to freeze the accounts of the counterparty.
π Binance responded by stating that Binance.US would then effectively suspend operations. The consent order, which provides for the disclosure of certain corporate information, became a kind of compromise.
β Do you think such bold actions on the part of Binance will lead to large-scale searches of the exchange? (checking all wallets, documents, etc.)
π - Yes

Gary Gensler said that AI is a risk to the capital markets π€
Gary Gensler, Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said that AI poses risks to capital markets. According to him, the regulator has focused its efforts on addressing both micro and macro issues in the sector.
π΄ Gensler noted that he believes AI is the most transformative technology of our time. He compared the effect of its introduction to the mass production of cars and the emergence of the Internet.
π΄ At the same time, AI carries certain risks both for trade as a whole and for individual capital markets participants. In particular, there is a potential conflict of interest between a service provider and a client.

About AI βοΈ
π£ We can talk forever on the subject of artificial intelligence. The risk that AI will replace some professions is quite high. From writing texts to making movies.
π In my opinion, the best decision you can make right now is to start incorporating AI more actively into your life. This technology can be integrated into almost any professional activity.
I can tell you by the example of myself and my team. As you know, we are actively developing in the field of finance and cryptocurrency. And in our work, we quite often use the AI function: to search for and process any information, to quickly find the most relevant news. In general, we use it in many areas of our work.
β By the way, would you be interested in getting to know me and my team in more detail? (because you know almost nothing about me).

Why BTC fell below 26k π§‘
Friends, I think many of you have seen how much the price of BTC has fallen. I tried to find a clear reason why it happened, but I couldn't. There are a few possibilities:
π SpaceX sold all their Bitcoins, but there is no primary source;
π Evergrande bankruptcy (the Chinese's favorite FUD at the MtGox level). No primary source either;
Against the backdrop of this situation, many traders were liquidated. Total liquidations in 24 hours 1.07 billion dollars.
Hopefully many of you had buy orders standing by and everyone has done a good job of buying the top altcoins. There is still time to do that now. But also, you should always leave some stablecoins for a likely drop lower.
β Will you buy BTC if the price drops to ~$20,000?

Who loses money in the market? π
Friends, hello everyone. I have found some interesting information for you, which I would like to tell you a little about.
π 88.3% of all short-term BTC holders are at a loss. And the number of BTC they hold is about 2.26 million BTC.
π And this statistic is not related to the fact that Bitcoin has fallen significantly in price over the past week. This is always the case in the market - almost 90% of people lose money.
π Why do they lose their money? It's simple - they do not follow the rules of risk management and money management. If you do not take these two aspects into account in your work, but with a 99% probability you will lose all your money π½

Important rules for investing and trading π€
π Risk management is following the rules you have set for yourself regarding risk. For example, when you make a trade, you have a risk/profit ratio of 1/3 and you are obliged to comply with it no matter what. It's a discipline.
π Money management is following the rules you have set for yourself regarding money. For example, when making a transaction, you have a pre-determined risk in the amount of, for example, $ 100. And you must comply with it.
And based on these two aspects, you create your own togovoli strategy. But that's another story...

Circle gains control of USDC issuance in six new blockchainsπ²
πͺ Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will buy a stake in Circle, the issuer of the second-largest USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin, according to a joint statement from the two companies.
πͺ Circle will gain full control over the issuance and management of the USDC stablecoin, which will launch on six new blockchains sometime between September and October 2023, the companies said in a statement. The exact terms of the cryptocurrency exchange's investment were not disclosed. As of Aug. 22, USDC has a market capitalization of more than $25.9 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.
"The nature of the investment suggests that Coinbase and Circle will now have even greater strategic and economic alignment on the future of the financial system," Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said in a statement.
π² In August, Coinbase said it would suspend trading of USDT and other stablecoins in Canada. Customers of the cryptocurrency exchange will continue to be able to deposit and withdraw these assets despite the ban on trading USDT, DAI, and RAI stablecoins.
πΊπΈ Coinbase has also received regulatory approval to trade cryptocurrency futures in the US. The authorization for U.S. clients to access regulated cryptocurrency derivatives will allow more people to gain safe access to the country's cryptocurrency market, the company said.

More rumors about CZ π¨
Friends, interesting rumors are appearing here. In recent days, rumors about the possible sale of Bitcoins by the head of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), have been actively discussed in order to support the price of BNB coins. According to Santiment, there are many accusations in the crypto community that CZ is selling bitcoins so that BNB does not fall to zero.
βΊ Although CZ previously claimed that he doesn't care about the price of BNB and his main goal is to create new products in the field of cryptocurrencies, since August 14, the cost of BNB has decreased by 14%, reaching $206. At the time of writing, the coin is worth $215.1, which is significantly lower than $348 in April.
βΊ Well-known crypto investor Mike Alfred criticizes Binance and CZ personally, accusing him of selling a large number of Bitcoins. Alfred believes that as soon as CZ stops selling, the price of BTC will go up.
However, he recommends everyone to withdraw their coins from Binance, calling the platform "unscrupulous". BTC is currently trading at $26,000, having lost about 10% since August 16. Some consider this a typical decline before the upcoming halving, expected in April-May next year.
β Do you think CZ sold all his BTC or is it just a rumor?
π - Yes, he was selling

History doesn't mean anything yet βοΈ
Friends, today I came across another interesting infographic (on top of this post). It follows from it that if history repeats, then BTC will grow to $35,000 before halving and to $148,000 after it. The next halving on BTC is expected on April 20, 2024.
π Also, the court's decision on XRP and the approval of Black Rock's application for a spot BTC-ETF, in addition to halving, will provide a strong foundation for the next bull market in the crypt.
π And now I want to say my thoughts: many people are guided by the history of certain events. For the most part, they assume that events will repeat. But, they often do not take into account that the market most often goes against the crowd (the crowd loses money). And if everyone expects a repetition of history, then theoretically this will lead to a departure from history.
Yes, it is impossible to predict. I just gave you this thought for reflection... .
β How do you think, can the crypto market go against history?
π - Yes
