PEPE: how memcoins outperform top projects 🐸

Friends, many of you have already heard about PEPE memcoin and how many people have made millions of dollars on it. In this post, we would like to take apart this situation with PEPE and understand what is happening with it now.

➡️ On May 5, Binance listed PEPE memcoin on its site. This caused a big haip around the project and many people started buying token, adding more and more liquidity and pushing the token up. At its peak, the token reached a capitalization of $1 billion and reached #45 on Coinmarketcap. The whole PEPE situation looks more like the usual speculation and "hamster casino."

↪️ Some information about PEPE:

• PEPE became the fastest growing ERC-20 token in crypto history, reaching 107k holders in just 23 days;
• PEPE started memcoin season, resulting in Ethereum and Bitcoin networks still experiencing congestion and increased fees;
• Объём PEPE trading fell from ATH about $2.5 billion (May 5) to $605 million today.

➡️ As you can see, the PEPE chart is very similar to the average memcoin chart. Although this topic are super risky and often have no fundamentals/value. They do a great job of attracting new users to Web3.

➡️ One of the enrichment stories on PEPE:
So, this meme trader bought a PEPE token, spending 0.125 ETH or $251. At this point, he has an unrealized profit of about $3,840,000!
So far, he hasn't sold his tokens, so let's watch the pepe millionaire. You can do that at this link.

↪️ Conclusion: the PEPE token is a regular memcoin, without any benefit to the crypto community. We do not advise you to buy memcoins, as it is more like a casino.

Crypto exchanges: CEX vs DEX 🔐

Friends, hello everyone. This is TREYSI. Today I decided to talk to you about one of the most important elements in the crypto market, namely exchanges. In this post I will talk about their types and how they differ.

↗️ CEX (Centralized Exchange) is an exchange that uses an intermediary to facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers. DEX (Decentralized Exchange) has no other intermediaries, which fundamentally changes the mechanism of its work.

📔Each has advantages and disadvantages. I will discuss them below.

⚫️1. Liquidity
Volumes on centralized exchanges are many times higher than their decentralized counterparts. This is explained by the fact that the primary action of newcomers to crypto is registration on the exchange. And because of the popularity of CEX's, most come to them, providing high liquidity.

This is also influenced by the following criterion, which attracts a large number of users.

⚫️2. Functionality
Futures trading, spot-trading, leverage, lunchpads, etc. - This is all about CEX. Their trading functionality is much wider. At this stage of development many DEX are more like token exchangers than full-fledged exchanges. As an exception, we can highlight 1inch, which has the ability to place orders.

⚫️3. Custody
When you trade on CEX you keep your funds in a wallet, tied to the exchange itself, rather than in your own. The important thing is that the exchange keeps the private keys to your wallets with itself, and you get the login credentials to the platform.

To trade on DEX you only have to link your wallet. There is no deposit required, increasing security for the user.

⚫️4. KYC - know your client
The most important difference is the presence of verification. Most DEX do not follow KYC standards. The principle of autonomous operation frees them from the cares of verification of the client. Centralized exchangers can not boast of this.

⚫️5. The mechanism of trade implementation
CEX uses the traditional order book model to find buyers and sellers. At the same time, the DEX exchanges use an entirely different system of execution, called AMM.

The AMM model is based on a liquidity pool that holds two tokens at a 50/50 ratio. When a user makes a trade, the smart contract automatically sends the tokens to the pool and then exchanges them for a similar token from the pair.

🆔 Recommendations for choosing DEX can be divided into two levels:
1. Verify the blockchain, its creation and audit date.
2. Study the workings of DEX, especially if it is a fork of a well-known platform. Also, it is important to look at the total amount of liquidity in the staking.

Bottom line: DEXs still have a lot of development to do. CEXs allow users to focus on trading, but at the cost of providing their assets for safekeeping. DEXs offer more freedom and potentially better terms, but require a more knowledgeable user.

Which exchange do you prefer?

👍 - CEX
🔥 - DEX

What is the difference between blockchains of different levels: L0, L1, L2 & L3 🌍

The rise of the first cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) created immeasurable value and changed the way society perceives money and who controls the financial flow. But along the way, blockchains became victims of their own success. They could not handle the increased traffic, resulting in either long transaction times or high fees. This is where the different layers of blockchain began to emerge. Let's take a closer look at them.

🔗 Layer 0 is the "base" layer, necessary for interchain interoperability. It is the network structure running under the blockchain, including protocols, connections, hardware, miners and other components that make up the blockchain ecosystem. Examples of L0-blockchains: Polkadot and Cosmos.

The main features are:
• Allow assets to be transferred between different blockchains;
• Allow developers to develop a single application on multiple blockchains at once;
• Fast and cheap transactions on cross-chain exchanges, due to the "communication" protocols used in L0.

🔗 Layer 1 is a blockchain that can conduct transactions without the participation of another network. Its main problem: as the number of users increases, blockchain performance and transaction processing speed can decrease. Examples of L1-blockchains: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Solana.

Let's make an analogy: if dApps is an offline store that everyone visits, the L1 blockchain is the piece of land on which it is built. And L0 is the road networks that connect the land parcels.

dApp - Decentralized Application

🔗 Layer 2 is a protocol deployed on top of the main L1 blockchain. They help increase system throughput, transaction speed, and scalability. This helps blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum process thousands of transactions every. Examples of L2-blockchains: Polygon and Optimism.

🔗 Layer 3 are so-called "application" level blockchains. L3 includes various decentralized solutions and protocols that enable applications. Examples of L3-blockchains: PancakeSwap, Uniswap, Aave and many more.

🗂 Conclusion: All blockchains are tightly interconnected. For example, without Layer 2, the Layer 1 blockchain cannot function successfully. Each layer has its own responsibility to help the entire cryptocurrency market function.

How to analyze cryptoprojects on your own: DYOR 🔤

In yesterday's post, I mentioned various projects. You may have thought: "Maybe I should invest in these projects?" Let me tell you right away that blindly investing never leads to good consequences. Yes, you can be lucky and the price of project token will go up after your purchase, but the probability of that is very low.

Before any investment I advise to conduct a DYOR - Do Your Own Research. How to do it I will tell in this post. Let's go.

1⃣ We always start with the project website. There you will be greeted with a brief summary of the project, as well be sure to glimpse the Whitepaper/Docs, to study the details.
The questions you should be asking at this point are:
• What is this project?
• What are the benefits of it?
• What opportunities does the project provide?
• What plans does the project have for its RoadMap?

RoadMap - the plan by which the project operates.

2⃣ Funds
Next you need to understand who is the guarantor of success:
• What foundations have supported the project?
• What are the successful cases of these foundations?
• Will the funds be interested in the further development of the project and the token?

📦 Examples of top funds: Multicoin, a16z, Paradigm, Polychain, Sequoia, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital.

3⃣ Community
It is equally important to assess the hype around the project and audience engagement. Be careful and check official sources. The better the project, the more scam will be around it, and you will be added to different groups offering to transfer money. Do not be fooled by these schemes!

🗂 It is important to evaluate:
• How active are the social networks of the project? (Telegram, Twitter, Medium, GitHub, etc.).
• How involved is the team in supporting social media?
• Is there an Ambassador program?
• Nodes (do they do updates and work)?
Also, important:
• Who is doing the reposts? If they're done by "real people" and not bots, that's a definite plus.
• Who of the major projects and celebrities are subscribed to Twitter.

➡️ You can use TwitterScore for convenient Twitter analysis.

4⃣ Project partnerships
Evaluate the credibility and use of other projects.
• How many other projects have already provided support?
• How can they be useful to each other?
• Make sure you check the feedback from partners on your pages (because you can just tag that you are supported by Solana, but they don't even know about you).
• Check the social media subscriptions of celebrities to the project. A good way to monitor Twitter for such "friendships.

It's not possible to tell all the basics for conducting a DYOR in one post. There are many more different points of interest that are important to pay attention to.

Let's get 15 reactions 👍 and I'll do a second part about the basic rules of DYOR.

Ways to make money on crypto 💰

I see that you liked the post about DYOR, so part 2 will be mandatory. However, today I decided to hit one of the most long awaited topics, namely ways to make money in cryptocurrency.

🎛 In this post I will talk about 5 main ways to work in the crypto market. Of course, I won't be able to talk about each way in detail, because it simply won't fit into one post. But if you like this post, I will tell about each way separately. Let's go.

➡️ 1. Testnets is an open testing of not yet launched cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Crypto projects that haven't gone public yet invite users to try their functionality and leave feedback.

• As a reward for participation, users can get NFT, project tokens (which will be exchanged for $ in the future) or discounts. The rewards can be announced in advance or after testing. Often the size of the reward depends on the contribution of the participant - the biggest prize is given to those who found significant bugs.

➡️ 2. Token Sale is the initial sale of tokens and their entry into the market. The essence of all token sales is to enable investors to buy a project token at a fixed price (a price well below the market price) before placing it on CEX or DEX.

• The main difficulty of this type of income is to choose a good project, so that in the future the tokens you receive will not lose a lot in value. With smart investing you can earn a few X's to your working capital per token sale.

➡️ 3. Ambassador programs - these programs are created to attract interested users who are ready to invest time and effort to create and develop a crypto project community. Basically, all work is based on creating content in social networks, increasing audience and developing it. An ambassador can be rewarded with project tokens or access to closed and early sales. There are also programs that pay a salary every month.

➡️ 4. Nodes are servers with special software that are connected to computers or other computing devices connected to the cryptocurrency blockchain network. They are necessary to ensure the security of the cryptocurrency network. In the future, holders of nodes can receive project tokens and sell them.

➡️ 5. Earnings from NFT. There are several ways to make money in the NFT sectors:
• Getting WhiteList (aka WL)
• Secondary market speculation (flips)
• Participation in raffles.
I will not focus on each method. In the future I will tell in a separate post.

How do you like this post? Throw a lot of reactions 👍 to this post, and then I will tell about each method separately. You will be able to apply this information and earn your first money in cryptocurrency.

GTA 6 could be Play-to-Earn ▶️

I often pass by news like this, but this looks very interesting. In terms of the massive adoption of cryptocurrency. At this stage of the market, it is very important that people start introducing crypto into their lives. One of the easiest ways to do this is through gaming 🎮

🔎Forbes India said that the new GTA will be based on the P2E model and in-game money earned can be exchanged for real money. Also Forbes India believes that in GTA 6 the main game currency will be Bitcoin. The publication refers to the leaked data of the developers.

The developers of GTA have not made an official statement about introducing cryptocurrencies in the game, but in February they wrote that GTA 6 will go beyond the previous games in the series. Recall that in GTA 5 you could enter the virtual exchanges LCN and BAWSAQ through your smartphone to trade stocks. It was also possible to commit crimes to crash company stock prices.

🗂 The game could become legendary if the rumors were true. It has been clear for a long time that only an experienced team from Web2 can create a high-quality and interesting P2E. Rockstar Games is the perfect candidate for this grand mission. In the case of success of the developers we are waiting for the massadoption of unprecedented scope.

DYOR | Part 2 🥅

Friends, the second part of the Do Your Own Research post didn't take long to come to fruition. Without a long introduction, here we go.

5️⃣ Project Team

Avoid anonymous teams, as well as projects which do not list their developers and team at all. Admins or members of the project will never write you in a private message with an offer to buy their tokens!

As a rule, the main members of the team are listed on the project website. And from there you can find more information about them. It is important to assess the team from a personal perspective, their social networks, the background. Are they interested in the development of the project itself, or more focused on fundraising.

🎛 It's important to evaluate:
• Evaluate these guys from a personal perspective, would you trust them with your money?
• What country is the team from?
In what projects have the members of the team already participated?
• How interested are they in the development of the project itself, or are they more focused on raising money and developing the token?

It is convenient to use LinkedIn to analyze the team.

6️⃣ Competitors
Evaluate the potential for demand and the quality of the technology.
• What competitors are already on the market?
• How in-demand is the competitors' technology?
• How much better is our technology?

7️⃣ Metrics
It's important to understand what and how many tokens will be available for sale on the listing, so we study the rollout/vesting period for each of the items. By getting the number of tokens available at the time of listing, you can calculate the approximate capitalization, at the last sale price, and assume the expected price pressure.

• Why do you need a token?
• How will the token be used?
• Who are the tokens distributed to?
• How many tokens in total?
• How many were sold in Seed and Private rounds?
• At what price did those rounds go in?
• How many tokens will be used for rewards?
• How many tokens do they plan to sell at the Public Sale?
• What liquidity will be provided on the listing?
After that, we start comparing the data to competitor projects. In this part, we will be able to assess the growth potential.

8️⃣ Buying
Having studied all the questions, you have decided to invest money in this project:
• Determine at what stage and under what conditions it is better to deposit money.
• We study the terms of sale.
• We study the format and the platform on which sales will occur.
• We study the platform on which we are going to buy.
• If the sale is not at a fixed price, consider the fair price of the token.
• If the sale is in the form of a lottery, consider multi-accounting to increase the chances of getting in.

9️⃣ Sale
At this stage, it is worth considering:
• Carefully study the timing of the project, otherwise you can freeze funds in the project for a long time.
• If unsuccessful, you should set a goal for fixing the loss in advance.
• Divide your sale into several goals, the first of which is the withdrawal of the initial investment.

📔I hope this information will be helpful to you 👍. Perhaps it will help you save your hard-earned $.

A new wave of memcoins? 🤗

Dogecoin recently introduced a new token standard - DRC-20. The Doge network has almost reached the same level as the Bitcoin network in terms of number of transactions, reaching a level of 630,000 transactions. Now for the details:

🟠While BRC-20 tokens have raised bitcoin fees dozens of times, and developers are looking for ways to block the whole thing, Doge is giving meme-lovers a new field of opportunity.

🟠The DRC-20 tokens only went public on May 9, but there are already about 1700 coins online! Even its own reviewer has appeared - https://drc-20.org.

🟠 These tokens are made on exactly the same principle as BRC-20. Digital artifacts are written on the tiniest parts of the DOGE, and that's how non-fungible tokens are made. By the way, the tiniest unit of DOGE is called Elon, by analogy with the Satoshi of the Bitcoin network. It is 1 hundred millionth of a whole coin.

🟠It's not clear yet whether DRC-20 can start a new meme wave and give rabid X's. But the especially curious can try to smith some coin according to this guide.

❗️We hope you don't need to be reminded that the memcoin trade is a casino. While someone almost accidentally makes a fortune, someone loses his hard-earned money.

Have you ever bought memcoins?

👍 - No it's a casino
🧐 - Yes, I bought

Venture capital funds: what's the benefit to the project? ✔️

Friends, hello everyone. In addition to the post about DYOR, I decided to make an explanatory post. Today we are going to uncover the mysteries of crypto venture capital funds. What role do they play in the world of crypto startups?

➡️ Venture funds are true wizards of finance, ready not only to invest in promising projects, but also to help them reach their potential. This is especially important for startups looking for support and funding.

Such companies help turn ideas into reality and turn them into successful products. They not only help the project financially, but also support it in every way they can so that their investment does not get lost in the mud.

🎛Venture capital funds are a catalyst for innovation. Their funding helps create new technologies, develop solutions, and foster the development of blockchain, smart contracts, and anything else that requires monetary support. They can also act as "Smart Money" (give knowledge, useful insights and tools)

Examples of crypto funds:
🟠Pantera Capital;
🟠Sequoia;
🟠a16z or Andreessen Horowitz.

Read more about the top funds here.

Don't forget the importance of choosing reliable funds. As in any industry, there are those that carry risk. If you have an idea or a ready project, you can safely apply for financial support to venture capital funds and offer them cooperation.

🎛Now here's an interesting statistic: 20% of startups fail immediately, 50% fail in 5 years, and 70% fail in 10 years. And even if more than half of the investment evaporates, one project can recoup all the costs. 👍
