Is there an online tool to easily compare total fees from buy to withdraw to physical wallet ?
Content: Hello,

I have just finished my first "full transaction" :
- Buy 100€ of BTC on Binance via Master Card
- Buy a hardware wallet
- Withdraw BTC to the hardware wallet.

As a lot of beginner investor, I was surprised by all the costs and fees along the steps and especially the one about withdraw fees ...

I have now read a lot about options but I can't figure out what platform would be the cheapest to do the following monthly (please tell me if I am thinking wrong)

--> Buy 100€ of BTC and withdraw it to my physical wallet.

Is there an online tool to "simulate" the cost of this whole transaction ?

I had a look at Coinbase Pro, Gemini or even BTC Direct from the Trezor app and it's not easy to know which one will be cheaper if we look at all costs involved.

Thank you very much for any advice !

What has Changed in Japan
Content: This is a post to give a little more detail about Cardano in Japan. TLDR You could always buy ADA, but now the process is becoming smoother.

Cryptocurrency is highly regulated in Japan. One difference between it and America is that exchanges here must keep all the assets for all the customers it has. I.e. no fractional reserve banking when it comes to crypto.

Another rule is that only trading of approved currencies is allowed. It is a very short list. Also each individual exchange must request permission to trade that coin. The commonly allowed cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stella and Bitcoin Cash. Although notably the Bitflier exchange has been successful in getting permission for a few others.

These rules only apply to exchanges in Japan, and the government did not try to shut down international sites. Therefore it was always possible to buy ADA in Japan if you were determined. You would need to use one Japanese site as a fiat ramp, them convert it to Bitcoin, and last go to another site to buy ADA.

Now, ADA has now been approved for one Japanese exchange (BitPoint). On this exchange you can convert ADA to yen and deposit / receive money to a Japanese bank account.

ADA is still not available on most Japanese exchanges, including the one I use. This means that there is room for growth. It will gradually become easier to buy/sell ADA in Japan.

Cardano Rumor Rundown August 26, 2021
Content: Hey Everyone!

Let's go...

Newly covered today:

1. dcSpark is unveiling a sidechain project called Milkomeda that will use wrapped ADA and so-called “wrapped smart contracts”. The first sidechain, M1, will be an Ethereum Virtual Machine sidechain. This means Solidity devs can deploy their current smart contract code in M1 and those smart contracts will be accessible to Cardano users. This is “the pond”. This will be HUGE! Good work dcSpark! You guys are killing it! https://medium.com/dcspark/dcspark-announces-development-of-new-sidechain-protocol-milkomeda-cc28ed764a89
2. IOHK partners with European Business University of Luxembourg to offer scholarships including instruction in Haskell and Plutus to students across 25 countries in Africa. https://iohk.io/en/blog/posts/2021/08/24/making-education-in-africa-more-accessible-affordable-and-equitable/
3. It’s interesting to note that (as pointed out by @Rob98550139) on June 23rd, EBU of Luxembourg also offered 5,000 scholarship’s in “Plutus Blockchain programming for Cardano Blockchain” to Nayib Bukele for El Salvador. Something unannounced going on there? https://twitter.com/EBULuxembourg/status/1407594850199953410

Previously Covered but still interesting:

1. Wolfram CEO, John Woodard, drops a guest article with IOHK on NFT liveminting. The article seems to have a good amount of focus on the community building potential of NFTs. I think that could be a big growth area for the future. https://iohk.io/en/blog/posts/2021/07/22/wolfram-and-cardano-build-communities-with-nfts-and-liveminting/
2. IOHK has released its Conclave paper on collective stakepools. https://eprint.iacr.org/2021/742.pdf

5. Big lesson for future Cardano DeFi projects: Uniswap Labs just had to censor the Uniswap UI to ban synthetics of underlying securities. Bucket shops have been around for 150 years and illegal for 100 years. It turns out that you can’t do it in crypto either. https://twitter.com/Uniswap/status/1418697012095164420 https://twitter.com/haydenzadams/status/1418961999539712006

KuCoin using KYC and AML policies to hold users funds for their own purposes - despite being unregulated and without a licence
Content: My funds have been held by KuCoin since the 13th of august whith no explanation. The company has asked for many documents which were all supplied to them. Most worrying part is when I appointed legal team their findings were shocking!!!! KuCoin is not regulated and has no licence - hence their AML and KYC tactics not systematical but rather based on their own preferences!!!!! It uses a Seychelles company that can be purchased for 800$ as their legal base. 13/08/21 I am asked to fill in enhanced KYC form and well as passport - i do that and supply all documents 16/08/21 I am asked to give screen shots - I provide screen shots to show ALPACA coins were bought on pancakeswap website, I am asked to provide 3 months bank statements I provide that 23/08/21 IAM AGAIN ASKED SAME ALL OVER AGAIN??? 25/08/21 Get an email asking for screenshots of emails by KuCoin and when I sent that I get reply that I DO NOT NEED TO SEND AGAIN just have to wait!
