Crypto beginner
Content: Hi! I just graduated from college in science management and throughout my 3years I thaught a lot about investing in crypto and I think this might be a good time. As a beginner I had a few questions I wanted to share with the community:

1.
How well should I diversify my portfolio? (I am thinking about investing 1-2k at the beginning and try to spread this investment in different currencies)

2.
What kind of strategy should I have? (By this I mean, how much should I search info about a currency before investing; what kind of vision should I have and how much risk % can be forcasted).
Thank you guys very much :)

Liquid Bitcoin
Content: Hello. I know the very basics of bitcoin, but i have some trouble understanding how liquid bitcoin actually works. I understand the liquid blockchain is private, and the trust of the user is trusting the exchanges that can transform lbtc to btc.

How safe is it actually? Is it worth to use blockstream's jade hardware wallet? Is it better to use a normal hardware wallet and do transactions on thr main blockchain? If all the exchanges and blockstream somehow disappear, will the liquid blockchain still be accesible?

Thank you in advance.

How do I withdraw BTC to hardware wallet immediately?
Content: Sorry if noob question but I just made a coinbasepro account, linked my bank account and bought $50 worth of btc as a tester run. I set up my ledger nano s as well. The issue now seems to be that coinbasepro won't let me transfer/withdraw my $50 worth of btc until the funds have cleared (about 6 days). My understanding is leaving btc on the exchanges is not secure and best practice is to move it to the hardware wallet immediately. Can someone help fill in the gaps for me here? I dont feel comfortable buying larger amounts if my btc has to sit out on the exchange everytime for x days before I can move to my hardware wallet. Thanks guys.

I was plagiarized, feelsbadman
Content: I have spent years in this space and have grown to love so much about this community. One thing I can’t understand is the scummy element that inevitably comes when there is some money to gain. Rug pulls, shitcoins, etc. Now plagarism can be added to the fray. The other day I wrote an original article for r/crytpocurrency reviewing and comparing various crypto debit card solution. It took me months of using these cards in order to write a well informed article to hopefully help everyone out!

Here is my original work. https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/p89d3p/i_have_used_and_reviewed_every_major_crypto_debit/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

This is the article which was pointed out to me by a few members of the community.

https://joyfulbusinessblog.com/the-5-best-major-crypto-debit-cards-ranked/

Aside from some small changes, this is my words. I am not going to bash the person who published the article or plagarised my words. Even though it doesn’t feel great, I still stand by the words and hope that some people are helped with what I reviewed.

The article was then shared all over the place. I‘ve seen it on multiple subreddits. It’s not the end of the world but it does feel bad when you work on something and someone else tries to claim what isn’t theirs.

To everyone else:

May you see nothing but green dildos and lambos!

Which crypto/blockchain related projects are kicking ass but are not covered properly by the mainstream media?
Content: There are many cool and meaningful crypto projects around, that I think do not get proper attention from the media or perhaps do not have enough of podcasts/interviews. Meanwhile, meme-based projects like safemoon/doge are being talked about, other crypto/NFT projects that really generate value stay in the back of the class.

Do you have any crypto/NFT projects in mind which you would like to hear more about, perhaps see their faces or have more transparency on particular topics? If so, who would it be?

The next evolution of crypto are trading bots; Upbots driving and delivering from the front
Content: https://a.thumbs.redditmedia.com/S5GaduuJurqC4tIBRJ8DorQm6ThuSDqPFcp9bKA3_g0.jpg The eruption of the bull market takes the bears by surprise. This phenomenon depicts the volatility of the crypto market as many traders shorting trades have been liquidated during the short cause of the BTC pump.

This drives the need for better and more efficient ways to trade the market with minimal loss accrued by traders. UpBots is an all-in-one trading platform, highly sophisticated with tools that make trading for win easy, regardless of one’s expertise on trading.

UpBots algo bots remain the biggest and most effective invention made by the project since its inception with a stellar performance recorded across all bots over 6 months.

Following the success of the algo bots, UpBots deemed it fit to role out its next and most crucial of phases, phase 3! introducing performance fees to the platform where these fees are paid on won trades only, makes UpBots one of the few projects that puts the interest of its users first before theirs. Would I wholly rely on UpBots algo bots? Yes!!!

Now, to the best news of the day, the team intends to gift every bot depositor into the platform, 1000 $UBXT. Building on the premise that UpBots charges only 20% of winning trades as performance fee, every user stands a chance to enjoy quite a few trades of free bot usage with the performance fee all taken care of. Has Christmas come early ?

The next question on your mind is, how are losses handled?

UpBots goes all the way here. Likewise, successful trades Upbots pays back 20% of the loss to the trader to mitigate the said loss.

The team being proactive has spotted the need to keep the token price parabolic, while cutting supply at the same time, hence, the burn mechanism incorporated in the performance fee where every transaction burns a fraction of UBXT.

All of these and many more make UBXT an asset worth holding. Great use case, solid fundamentals, cool passive income options, and outstanding features make the current price the cheapest one could ever find the token for the value it offers.

With UpBots platform currently in Beta, new features such as algo dev portal, margin trading, and more features of commercial launch close enough, there is no stopping for this project.

Is this sub a mindless echo chamber?
Content: Pretty much the title. I guess I’ll have my answer if this gets deleted, but I can’t help but feel like no meaningful or interesting discussion about Ethereum takes place on this sub. It’s just headline after headline of “good” things happening for Ethereum holders, that just see this as an opportunity to make a quick buck, and they want validation from strangers that they’re right. But please tell me if I’m wrong, and if there’s a place where more meaningful, technical discussion of how the backend of ethereum is being developed, could someone point me there instead? Thanks.

My account was hacked and I lost $6500 from Coinbase
Content: This incidence occurred around 5 pm ET. I was checking my balance and I found out that my $6500+ available fund became $70. Then I checked the recent transaction history and it showed that somebody converted my investment to BTC and sent it out 2 times in $1500 and $5000. I immediately locked my account and submitted a ticket to Coinbase customer service. I checked my email that was associated with my Coinbase account and my email was bombed. I scanned for viruses using Microsoft Defenders and found 0 viruses. I downloaded Malwarebytes to scan for viruses and found 78 threats (most of them are viruses). I used a two-step verification for security purposes, and I checked my google phone number that was associated with another google account, and somebody was able to get the verification code.

I guess I am fked. I've read lots of Reddit posts that theft victims were told that Coinbase was not responsible for reimbursing the loss due to theft or hack. Should file a police report? The reason I asked that is I don't believe the police can help me recover my lost fund and I am not sure a police report will do anything for this incidence.

I have an idea that can significantly improve security at the expense of having more wait time. The idea was whatever fund that's withdrawn back to bank account/crypto wallets/PayPal should be on hold for 1-3 days for security reasons. If the account holders report that their accounts were compromised or they did not authorize these transactions in this waiting period, then Coinbase can immediately stop all transactions. Yes, more wait time sucks, but it means more theft can be stopped.
