How to use the lightning network?
Content: This may be a very dumb question, but is it only utilized on certain wallets or p2p? Or does it automatically get used based on the amount of BTC you want to send/receive?

Customer Service - Unable to Sell despite buying for 3+ years?????
Content: Not sure how to resolve issues with Coinbase as they only have a ticketing system. Anyway, I have automated buying ETH/BTC over the last few years and haven't had any issues. That is until I randomly decided to transfer some of that money back into my bank account and am met with the "Account restricted. You are currently unable to buy/sell crypto on Coinbase". This is despite buying it earlier today AND yesterday. It seems only my ability to Sell/Cash out is disabled. This is incredibly frustrating.

Content: URGENT- today my account has been compromised. someone just tried to withdraw a lot of money from my checking account transfer to my coin base account via my routing number. I placed a fraud report with my bank to stop the pending transaction. ALSO I am unable to log into my my coin base and coin base pro account. says invalid password and or user name. please check my account to see if all my crypto has been taken! My authenticator was not available because they shut my cell phone service off. My cell phone service is back up and working so I can now receive my authenticator code but i need to get into my account. Please help me get into my account. Today, one user spammed 500+ (and counting) comments in the daily thread and there's still 6 hours left!
Content: u/OldEntertainment9570 has spammed the daily thread today more than 500 times in 16 hours.

They are on pace to get 800 comments in a single 24 hour period.

These comments represent more than 1% of all comments in the daily thread for August 23rd, 2021.

If all 10k users online did the same, that would put the daily thread at 8,000,000 comments!

I voted no on the last daily poll to reduce the 2x karma multiplier for comments on the daily thread and I stand by that decision. However, something has to be done about this.

I get everyone wants moons (myself included) but this is getting out of control.

I think that just for the daily thread, we need a comment limit per user. What that limit is, or how it works I don't know, but we need something.

Maybe it's more like:
IF you comment in the daily 400 times, you are restricted in the following daily to 100 comments.

What does everyone think? We have to do something, this is getting ridiculous. This user even replied to me saying:

"I'm new to crypto, I'm just trying to learn."

Meanwhile, the majority of the comments are a few words and have nothing to do with "learning about crypto."

Mods, if you're listening, help!!!!!!!!!

EDIT 2: most of the moons I earned are from when the ratio was 10 moons for 1 karma. To compare, I've posted in today's daily 36 times.

Now let me clarify, we should absolutely keep being active in this sub. Keep posting stories, asking questions, and helping each other. However, outside of Reddit please remember to not talk about your gains to anyone. Not your parents, not your partner, not your friends. Nobody.

Why? Because it has zero potential for good and catastrophic potential for bad. If you're talking about your Crypto investments to people who are not also already interested you're going to sound like a crazy person gambling away your life savings. People will hear you talking about all the money you are making and either ask for advise, become jealous/envious, or dislike you because they think you are bragging. If they ask for advise they will probably get shaken out during a -3% day and resent you for it. If they become jealous or envious of you they will be waiting in the wings to hound you on down days, even if you are still in the green. If they think you are bragging they will probably stop talking to you.

Shut the fuck up.

Seriously practice silence. Get used to keeping your gains to yourself. Honestly I would even advise against talking about gains here as well because the internet is rife with scammers looking for a mark. The best way to avoid problems is to just stop talking.
