Content: Signed up for Coinbase, did the ID verification, gave my address, credit card number and everything and tried to buy some BTC.

Rejected for security reasons, says to contact support, the article says to contact support, and when I take the time to fill out their ridiculously long support form, I get an auto reply:

How do you stay excited with a low amount?
Content: I have a pretty fixed income with no disposable income for myself because of 3 kids, whom I put first. I have 58 cardano. I am in it for the long haul, but seeing some of the other amounts people have makes me feel pathetic. Thankfully I have had nothing but Wonderful interactions with the community. I am trying to chase that feeling when I first got ADA. Not trying to come across as whining. Just trying to shake feeling discouraged.

Bitcoin Core Wallet, Seed Phrases and Hardware Wallets.
Content: Hi,

For my education, please help my understanding here. Trying to bridge the gap of how Bitcoin works and the differences between running your own node and using hardware wallets and how they interact with the Blockchain.

Hardware wallets I understand. The device generates the seed for you from which all other private keys and public addresses are derived. I can lose the hardware and all is ok as long as I have my Seed +Passphrase if I used one.

Trying to wrap my head around Seed phrases and Bitcoin Core.

In order to backup and secure a Core Node, I backup the wallet.dat file and save my passphrase used to create it.

I can enter the CLI and read my private key for each wallet which is a string.

1.) So, If I go offline for any reason or my computer gets lost or stolen, can I recover my Bitcoin Core wallet using the wallet.dat file and passphrase only?

2.) Is there any way for Bitcoin Core to utilise a mnemonic seed phrase for recovery?

If I create a new wallet and check the blank wallet option I can then make my own seed phrase. It asks for a passphrase.

3.) Is this a 12-24 word mnemonic then? but doing so means I am using the computer to enter said passphrase and it could in theory be compromised. (guess this a plus to using a separate hardware wallet.)

4.) If I make a blank wallet, it says the HD seed can be set later. How do I do this?

My Goal is to create a BTC wallet in Core from my own Seed from the BIP-39 list that be taken anywhere with me.

5.) IF this is possible will that seed then work to recover to a hardware wallet if I was nowhere physically close to my Core Node server?

Final Question, will/does Bitcoin Core support watch only wallets? I cannot see how to get an XPUB key to import into BluWallet.
