The Governor of Banco de Mexico (the country’s central bank) informed that Mexico will have its CBDC in full circulation within the next 3 years, i.e., 2025.

The CBDC will enable greater financial inclusion for citizens while expanding existing payment options. They also expect to deploy new automation mechanisms to speed up payment processes.

The announcement, however, gives the idea that Mexico’s CBDC could support more services than just transmission of the value.

The creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club is about to sell $300 million in metaverse land for its game "Otherside."

Yuga Labs will issue digital "deeds" for up to 55,000 plots of metaverse property.

Moreover, within 45 minutes post launch, around $100 million worth of plots on the Otherside Metaverse is sold. It is estimated that more than $300 million worth of plots could be minted on the Otherside Metaverse today.

Meta’s Instagram to support NFTs from Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Flow

Instagram, the social media powerhouse owned by Meta is planning non-fungible token (NFT) integrations for Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow.

This will feature a small group of NFT aficionados based in the U.S. Instagram will not charge users for posting and sharing NFTs.

The platform intends to support widely used crypto wallets such as MetaMask through which users will be able to prove NFT ownership, showcase them on their profiles and tag the creators who made them.
