- 1 BTC now costs 59 billion Bolivar. On Friday, president Nicolas Maduro announced a new exchange rate for the Bolivar which is now pegged to the crypto currency Petro. Under the new guidelines, one Petro equals 60 $, which means that Venezuala's national currency (Bolivar) is essentially devalued by 96%.
