From October 2023 to June 2024, the market share of the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit increased from 8% to 16%. This growth allowed Bybit to surpass Coinbase and become the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange after Binance.

Life Sentence for Cryptocurrency Theft?
A 24-year-old US resident, Remy Saint-Felix, faces a potential life sentence for home robberies aimed at stealing cryptocurrency.
Saint-Felix led a group that, from September 2022 to July 2023, broke into homes demanding access to the victims’ cryptocurrency accounts.
In April 2023, the group broke into a house, tied up the victim, held her at gunpoint, and threatened her husband with violence. The criminals managed to steal over $150,000 in cryptocurrency.
Saint-Felix and thirteen of his accomplices were arrested in July 2023 while attempting another robbery in New York. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of seven years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
