Хакеры взломали аккаунты крупного ритейлера из США Target с 2 млн подписчиков и через него начали "бесплатно раздавать криптовалюту на $31 млн", а затем проделали тоже самое со службой гугл G Suite, на которую подписаны 822 тыс. человек. Естественно, никто, кроме хакеров, криптовалюты не получил. Можно сказать, что пользователи заплатили за бесценный опыт и в очередной раз напомнили всем, что в интернете никому нельзя доверять, даже проверенным аккаунтам.

Две майнинг-фирмы из Швеции исчезли не оплатив счета на сумму свыше $1,5 млн, теперь власти страны пытаются добиться от них возврата хоть каких-то денег. Компания NGDC из Майами занималась добычей биткоина в Норрботтене, но осенью ей отключили электричество за неуплату, в итоге фирма объявила себя банкротом. Вторая компания - Chasqui Tech забронировала недвижимость - и в итоге не приступила к работе. Теперь с нее требуют $50 тыс. за аренду.

Больше половины электричества в Швеции вырабатывается на гидроэлектростанциях, однако из-за засухи, которая была прошедшим летом, стоимость энергии выросла. Поэтому майнинг, и так не самое прибыльное занятие с учетом ситуации на рынке, стал еще менее выгодным в этой стране.

У нас не самые приятные новости - все падает настолько быстро, что пока мы писали эту заметку, биткоин успел подешеветь до $5850.
