Binance Labs, the venture capital and incubation arm of Binance has invested $15M into Xterio, a Web3 game platform and publisher. Xterio plans to use the fresh funds toward accelerating the development of games incubated by Xterio and the integration of artificial intelligence in its tech development. Previously, Xterio raised $40M in a funding round led by FunPlus, FTX Ventures & XPLA.

Polygon proposes to change $MATIC tokens to a new asset called $POL
Polygon, the Ethereum scaling solution, has proposed a technical upgrade for its native $MATIC token, changing it to a new asset called $POL, a token capable of validating multiple chains within the Polygon ecosystem, including Proof of Stake (PoS), zkEVM, and Supernets. Token holders would be required to send their MATIC tokens to a specific smart contract, which would then return an equivalent number of POL tokens.

Multichain, a cross-chain router protocol, will wind down its operations amid the arrest of its CEO Zhaojun and his sister by Chinese police. According to the project's statement, its CEO has been taken under a custody couple of weeks ago, along with his computers, phones, hardware wallets, and mnemonic phrases. After the abnormal transfer of users' assets locked on the MPC addresses, Zhaojun's sister transferred the remaining user assets and was also detained. Since there is no information about the assets' status and absence of the contact with the project's CEO, the team is forced to cease operations.
