Bittrex exchange has announced the filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy
Crypto exchange Bittrex Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, less than a month after Bittrex was sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly operating an unregistered exchange, broker, and clearing agency. According to the company's statement, it has assets and liabilities each estimated to be worth between $500M and $1B, and more than 100,000 creditors.

PayPal, a financial technology company, discloses nearly $1B in cryptocurrencies on its balance sheet in a 10-Q filing with the SEC. The company indicated that it holds $943M worth of customer assets in bitcoin $BTC, ether $ETH, bitcoin cash $BCH and litecoin $LTC on its balance sheet.
