Aave (AAVE) has announced the launch of the decentralized $GHO stablecoin
Aave Companies has proposed to the DAO the introduction of a native decentralized, collateral-backed stablecoin, GHO, pegged to USD. GHO would be backed by a diversified set of crypto-assets chosen at the users’ discretion, while borrowers continue earning interest on their underlying collateral. Borrow interest rates for GHO will be determined by the AaveDAO, with a stable rate that may be adapted depending on market conditions.

MakerDAO (MKR) has approved the providing of a $100M loan for the U.S bank
MakerDAO has approved Huntingdon Valley Bank, a US-based regulated bank founded in 1871, to open a stablecoin vault. At the launch, the bank will be able to borrow up to $100M, with the debt ceiling to grow to $1B over the next 12 months. DAI borrowed from the vault will serve to support the bank's operations.
