Linera, a layer 1 blockchain project has closed a $6M seed funding round led by a16z. Additional round investors included Cygni Capital, Kima Ventures, and Tribe Capital. Linera plans to use the funding to hire engineers and team members to build out the protocol. The Linera project will develop and promote a new model of execution suitable for linear scaling.

Maker DAO (MKR) plans to invest $500M into U.S. treasuries and bonds
MakerDAO, the governing body of the Maker protocol, has launched a vote on a proposal aimed at helping it weather the bear market and utilize untapped reserves by investing 500M $DAI stablecoins into a combination of United States treasuries and bonds. MakerDAO allows participants to vote on proposals by staking their $MKR. So far, the option to split Dai between treasuries and bonds has 99.3% MKR token support, albeit from just 12 voters.
