MoneyGram has partnered with Stellar (XLM) to create a money transfer platform
MoneyGram International, a cross-border transfer service, is partnering with the Stellar blockchain to launch a stablecoin-based platform for money transfers. The new service will allow Stellar wallet users to send Circle’s USD Coin (USDC) to recipients, who will be able to cash them out for fiat currency through the MoneyGram network. Moreover, MoneyGram negotiates with third-party companies that provide digital wallets in El Salvador alongside the government-backed Chivo wallets, through a deal with one of those companies, MoneyGram would be able to compete for BTC transfers as well.

Aptos Labs, a team that's bringing Facebook’s star-crossed Diem blockchain to life, has revealed that PayPal Ventures was one of the participants of their $200M funding round. The Aptos funding that took place in March was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from Multicoin Capital, a16z alum Katie Haun, Three Arrows Capital, ParaFi Capital and Coinbase Ventures, among others. PayPal Ventures’ participation wasn’t revealed in the initial announcement.
