Indian crypto exchange WazirX has been apparently hacked for over $230M
WazirX suffered a hot wallet exploit that resulted in the unauthorized transfer of ~$235M worth of crypto assets. The exchange confirmed the security breach of one of its multisig wallets. According to early blockchain data, over $100M worth of $SHIB tokens were withdrawn, followed by $52M in $ETH, $11M in $MATIC, and $6M in $PEPE.

Polygon is set to migrate its $MATIC token to $POL on September 4th
Polygon will undergo a mainnet upgrade on September 4th, 2024, transitioning from its native token to a new token with the ticker $POL.
