There is a post floating all around Telegram suggesting people to Switch OFF Auto Download because of a Telegram Crypto Virus.

THIS IS FAKE NEWS. Telegram only auto downloads gifs/images by default and no malicious file is executed unless a user downloads the file (.scr, .pif, .exe etc.) and opens it manually. By default these files DO NOT automatically get downloaded.

Use your brain and and try not to blindly believe what anyone is telling you without proper due-diligence. ✅
