✏️ Opinion of a top-tier Market Maker on the crypto market key points:

➡️This cycle, liquidity mainly flowed into BTC, ETH, SOL

➡️Unlike all previous cycles, this one had no euphoria in BTC or alts! No greed!

➡️Retail was neck-deep in alts while BTC was rising, while major capital only bought BTC around the $70,000 bottom—almost no funds entered at the lows.

➡️The break-even point for many large holders is around $70,000 for BTC

➡️Retail is completely disillusioned with alts after the October 11 crash and has started selling assets at a loss en masse, shifting into BTC! (a foolish decision)

➡️There's no money in alts and no easy access for big money—dark assets not approved by regulators. Plus, retail sold 70% of their altcoins at a loss…

➡️Alts only rise when there’s plenty of cheap money in the system.

❗️ The MM believes the strength in BTC and ETH largely comes from having ETFs and easy access. They've passed regulatory hurdles, unlike alts!! Alts currently are an unknown mess for funds, with no guarantee of survival.

❗️The MM says institutions are only considering investments in about 160 altcoins out of the entire market, likely based on preliminary data that these projects will clear regulatory approval☑️

Smart money is waiting for altcoin ETFs and regulatory clarity!

🔥According to the MM: BTC hasn’t reached the euphoria phase yet and hasn’t put in its peak,
That big players aren’t even planning to sell - they intend to hold with a higher target in mind (which surprises me right now)

📈 The MM sees a few possible triggers for an altseason:

1. Regulation first, coin selection, ETF openings for these projects, and then capital access! (moderate probability)
2. BTC and ETH performance that will make new highs and pull all other coins up (this is the most likely scenario according to the MM) - it’s happened every time before!
3. Loss of investor interest in traditional assets and a shift into crypto as an oversold asset (least likely scenario)
For example, exiting gold or stocks and moving into crypto…

All this has led me to think that BTC might not be heading to the absolute bottom just yet.
