Cryptex is thrilled to announce the deployment of CCIP (Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol) by Chainlink on Base and Ethereum for MEEM, our upcoming Index of Memes.

Here's how using CCIP by Chainlink works:

- User approves MEEM via CCIP on mainnet.

- The user creates a transaction to transfer their tokens using CCIP.

- MEEM is withdrawn and locked up in a pool.

- CCIP network verifies the transaction and mints MEEM tokens on Base.

For transferring MEEM back to Base:

- User approves MEEM to CCIP bridge on Base.

- The user creates a transaction to transfer their tokens using CCIP.

- The bridge burns MEEM on Base.

- The CCIP network verifies the transaction and releases the locked MEEM on mainnet.
