Learn all about interactive motion graphics and visual programming during our TouchDesigner workshop! Inspired by the iconic Bauhaus movement, we'll go and explore TouchDesigner's fundamentals in visual design & programming. This workshop is perfect for beginners since we will get to know about the basics, create visuals and connect with other enthusiasts.

This workshop, lead by Raul, will have a followup workshop for more advanced TouchDesigner users, which will go even deeper into all the ins and outs of this program!

Let’s elevate our TouchDesigner skills! Join our second TouchDesigner workshop; this one is more advanced and will go into Sensor Integration & OSC Communication.

Building upon the beginners workshop we will further explore tablet interface creation, interactive installation crafting, and collaborative learning.
This will be a lot of fun for TouchDesigner enthusiasts who are already familiar with the basics, or completed our beginners workshop. No worries if you missed that though, as long as you can handle basic 2D animations in TouchDesigner, you're good to go. Workshop host Raul uses an Arduino micro-controller (the esp8266), if you have that one, or any other micro-controller yourself, please bring it with you! :)

The Composting Computers exhibition will showcase artistic explorations born amongst the opportunities posed by e-waste repurposing and creative thinking.

Pollinations – De Kunst van het Bestuiven


In het Pollinations programma werden vier gerenommeerde kunstenaars uit België en Nederland uitgenodigd door curator Tim Joye.

De kunstwerken van Anne Marie Maes (BE), Peter de Cupere (BE), Robin Koek (NL) en Driessens & Verstappen (NL) vragen aandacht voor bijen, bestuivers en hun leefwereld - en de uitdagingen waar ze voor voor staan.

Het Pollinations programma is een vervolg op de Bee Embassy, een werk uit 2022 dat voortvloeide uit een samenwerking tussen Zeger Reyers en Reaktor21.

De werken staan tentoongesteld in de open lucht op Stadsboerderij Steede Hoge Woerd in Utrecht de Meern en zijn te bezoeken tot en met december 2024.

This May we'll be having a special guest over in our CCU studio for an artist talk! On this night we can learn from and listen to Benjamin Gaulon, who's an artist, researcher, and educator whose work confronts the limitations of technology & consumerism.

Through techniques like hacking and recycling, he breathes new life into discarded technology, challenging conventional notions of functionality and purpose. Gaulon's talk will explore themes of planned obsolescence & nostalgia, inviting to reconsider our relationship with devices. From creating symbiotic relationships between appliances to confronting the brutal materiality of technology, Gaulon's work offers a provocative glimpse into our technological legacy and a call for more sustainable practices in the digital age.

Hey Creative Coders!

We have two events about Esolangs coming up 🪄 these events are for those interested in exploring unconventional, creative languages designed to challenge traditional coding norms. If traditional programming hasn’t resonated with you, this workshop offers a new perspective that might click! Both are suitable for beginners, you just need to bring your curiosity and an open mind!

In the meetup on Thursday 17 October, David Zwitser will introduce BQN and host a live demo. Afterwards, Daniel Temkin will join online from New York to present his research on programming languages that move beyond English and Western logic, incorporating languages like Arabic and Yoruba.
