A protest was allegedly scheduled for Friday, August 27th, at 12pm in Aotea Square, Auckland.
MSM reports one person showed up for the planned event that clearly did not go ahead.
When Counterspin Media drove past, we saw no event taking place, no mass gathering and zero people protesting.
Allegedly, 3 people were planning to attend but the strong police presence was a deterrent.
Military were also stationed close to the square.
The organisers of the event have not made themselves known, leading some to speculate that it was a set up.

Max Igan, from The Crowhouse, said on his Telegram channel "only 2 trucks showed up and the truckies caved after one hour and the cops moved them out of the state...so disappointed.... we need to organise better and DO THIS!!! .... Gutted."

Karen Brewer from The Bush Telegraph was arrested in Kaikohe outside the Far North District Council.
Vikki-Lee Pomare & 2 others were arrested in Auckland, it is believed outside the Governor General's residence.
Tauranga update, is that 20 were dispersed by the police, with reports of 6 arrests.
A group of a dozen or so were also asked to leave a park gathering by police in Whangarei.
Reports of 2 arrested in Hamilton outside the council building.
1 reported arrest in Christchurch.
People standing in Rangiora were asked by police to move on.

The new variant, known as C. 1.2, first emerged in South Africa but has also been detected here, as well as England, China, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritius, Portugal and Switzerland.
A Ministry of Health spokesperson confirmed to the Herald that a case of the new variant was identified at the border in Auckland in late June 2021.'
