CULT OF KINDNESS "KAREN" CAUGHT STEALING SIGN AT JACINDA ARDERN EVENT

(help us find the culprit, please share far and wide)

By Hannah Spierer

Former PM Jacinda Ardern is arguably the most hated woman in NZ. And some of her supporters have proven to be extremely aggressive and at times violent and even willing to steal, as I personally witnessed.

Last night, while Ardern was addressing the champagne socialists in Auckland, a member of her kindness cult was breaking the law, right under the noses of the NZ Police.

For the article's sake, we shall call her "Karen".

The term "Karen" can also refer to an entitled, controlling and demanding middle aged women, such as the woman in question.

I did not witness her snatching the sign from a peaceful protester but I heard her boasting about it after the fact as she scurried off with it.

This was not going to go unchallenged. How could I allow a crime to be committed and go unpunished against a member of my own tribe?

After all, had the shoe been on the other foot, there would have been hell to pay. Can you imagine that happening at a trans protest?

The police were initially not interested and very dismissive when I reported the crime. I pressed them and was directed to the Senior Sergeant who was far more interested in the phone call she was on.

She assured me she had an officer that was handling it.

In the end Karen did reluctantly give the sign back, after initially having no respect for the laws she had broken and demonstrating so much distain for the protesters, she acted as though she was above it entirely.

Should someone recognise this photo of her, please reach out to us so the victim of the crime can press charges.

And be sure to send her this so she can understand the NZ law as stated her:

NZ Assault Definition: The Crimes Act 1961, section 2(1) defines "assault" as: "the act of intentionally applying or attempting to apply force to the person of another, directly or indirectly, or threatening by any act or gesture to apply such force to the person of another, if the person making the threat has, or causes the other to believe on reasonable grounds that he or she has, present ability to effect his or her purpose."

Robbery (More Likely Charge for Snatching from Hands)Simple theft is just dishonestly taking property with intent to permanently deprive the owner (Crimes Act, s 219).

Section 234 (Robbery) states: Robbery is theft accompanied by violence or threats of violence, to any person or property, used to extort the property stolen or to prevent or overcome resistance to it being stolen.
Snatching a phone, bag, or item from someone's hands often involves the minimal violence/force needed to overcome their grip/resistance. This is commonly charged as robbery (up to 10 years) rather than plain theft.

Police and courts treat "bag snatching," "phone snatching," or ripping items from a person's hold as robbery when force is used against the victim.

CAN YOU HELP AIMEE GET HER HOME BACK?

One of Aimee's amazing friends has put together a fundraiser for her.

https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/the-heart-behind-so-many-others-recovery-now

Aimeeโ€™s caravan โ€” her home โ€” was stolen from a rural property in Hikutaia, New Zealand, taking with it far more than just possessions.

Inside were all of her clothes, treasured belongings passed down from her great grandparents, years of important personal and government correspondence, and irreplaceable memories connected to her children โ€” including their artwork, school letters, and treasured arts and crafts collected over the years.

Also stolen were deeply personal items like Aimeeโ€™s custom surfboard featuring a pฤua koru design and artwork underneath, along with her fishing gear and many of the everyday things that made life feel stable and familiar.

What makes this loss even harder is the kind of person Aimee is. For years, she has dedicated herself to helping mothers and children across New Zealand โ€” especially young mothers working to rebuild their lives and reconnect with children in state care. She is someone who constantly puts others before herself, shows up without hesitation when people are struggling, and gives her time, energy, and heart to those who need support most.

Now, Aimee is the one facing the unimaginable loss of both her home and so many irreplaceable pieces of her life. Weโ€™re hoping to rally around her the same way she has rallied around so many others over the years.

Any donation, no matter the size, will help Aimee begin rebuilding after this devastating theft. Even sharing this page means more than words can say.

69 US jurisdictions have now blocked new data centers.

Citing the need to protect local power grids and water supplies, a growing number of cities, counties, and towns are pushing back hard against the explosive growth of AI data centers.

At least 69 jurisdictions across the United States have passed restrictions or outright moratoriums on new data center construction โ€” with four of those bans made permanent.

Communities are alarmed by the massive resource demands of these facilities: enormous electricity consumption, millions of gallons of water for cooling, rising utility bills, constant noise, and the loss of local control over land use. What was once welcomed as economic development is now sparking fierce debates about sustainability and quality of life.

The tipping point came in Michigan, where a huge AI data center project backed by OpenAI and Oracle was approved despite strong local opposition. The decision triggered a domino effect, with neighboring towns rushing to pass their own bans to prevent similar developments.

As tech giants race to build the infrastructure needed for advanced AI, theyโ€™re increasingly running into resistance from communities unwilling to sacrifice their environment and resources for corporate expansion.

The digital revolution is now colliding with physical reality.
