After peacefully protesting outside the Tauranga police station 4 were arrested.

All 4 have now been released with a warning. Tracey Livingston says she is fine but the police were playing hardball.

Gerry Carey, a volunteer fire fighter with 8 years service was refused entry into a countdown supermarket in Katikati for not wearing a mask.

Senior Constable John Fitzgerald and Karen were called out to enforce countdown's 'rules'.

Gerry explained that he has a medical exception. The Senior Constable asked multiple times to see Gerry's personal medical information and backed countdown staff to prevent Gerry from buying food.
