GROUNDSWELL NZ announces more campaign actions
Following the hugely successful Howl of a Protest and lack of response from the Government, Groundswell NZ are today announcing a major nationwide protest event later in the year. While a date in November is yet to be set, Groundswell NZ's expectation is the next major protest action will be of a scale and impact that will be significant in New Zealand’s history. Groundswell NZ spokesman Bryce McKenzie says there is widespread concern among both rural and urban people, councils, and the business sector about the direction the Government is taking our country and the tsunami of unworkable regulations being rammed through.
In the lead up to Novembers nationwide protest a number of campaign actions will be undertaken.
The first event is on this Friday 20th August 2021 under the banner of "CAN YOU HEAR US".
At 12:30 pm all around New Zealand, Groundswell NZ are calling for 2 minutes of show of support by every car, bike, truck, train - anything with a horn, tooting in support of our campaign.
Then this will be repeated every Friday for the following 3 weeks.
The second action is Groundswell NZ are writing to all councils calling for a halt to all RMA planning processes. This is mainly because of the significant negative impact zonings like SNAs, wetlands and landscapes are having on people and their property values.
In tandem with writing to councils, Groundswell NZ is calling for all landowners to decline access for councils or their agents wanting to undertake mapping or information gathering on private land. Groundswell NZ has identified serious implications with this information gathering that landowners are largely unaware of.
Groundswell NZ's campaign is primarily concerned about the unworkable regulations including Freshwater, Indigenous Biodiversity and Climate Change. "We are not against the need for regulation or the need to care for the environment", said McKenzie. " Nor are we calling for a halt to addressing environmental issues. We are saying there are much better, proven solutions to addressing environmental issues than the one size fits all approach being legislated by the government. There are thousands of community and private environmental initiatives happening across the country and we believe everyone has a role to play to continue the momentum", said McKenzie.
Groundswell NZ has recently added the Three Waters reform and the Water Services Bill to its growing list of unworkable regulations. Such is the magnitude of change being taken with the Three Waters reform Groundswell NZ believe the people of New Zealand should have a say through referendums in each district and city.
Groundswell NZ has put a stake in the ground and is committed to following through with its campaign until the Government addresses the legislative failings being raised by grassroots New Zealanders. Enough is enough.

A young Shortland Street actor is the 3rd young kiwi to die in a week.
Like with Olivia Podmore, the bottom of the news article offers contact details for Lifeline, suggesting suicide.
Kiwi rapper, Louie Knuxx's cause of death is not clear at this point. Questions about the vaccine are being raised.
Either way, it's time NZ had open discussions about the current suicide rates and also the side effects of the jab because 3 deaths of prominent kiwis in a week is not a normal occurrence.

Today lawyer Sue Grey has filed an injunction to halt the unlawful vaccination rollout for public servants working at the airports & ports in New Zealand.

Despite expectations to provide evidence based information, Government sources are the only place recommended for nursing staff to go to for their information re Covid jabs.
It doesn't even link the official Medsafe website where it shows the total reported cases of bell's palsy, haemorrhages, herpes zoster, strokes, heart attacks and deaths following Pfizer's jab. [2]

"The outcome from the telephone conference today is as usual the Crown threw up loads of technical challenges.
Its complicated, but we've got several possible ways forward which we are still exploring.
We can challenge the interpretation of the No Jab No Job law in the Employment Court, but it looks like we will need to go to the High Court to challenge the its legality and apparent conflict with Human Rights and the NZ Bill of Rights Act.
The difficulty is that the employers say they have no choice but to comply with Minister Hipkins' Vax Order, even if it means firing good employees who value their bodies and/or have compelling medical reasons why they don't want the jab.
It feels like dealing with masked puppeteers"
