New Zealand venues, schools and businesses are being warned of the risks posed by possible lone-wolf attackers in crowded spaces.
While the overall threat remains low, organisations hosting crowds should be considering fencing, lighting, bollards, cameras, security staff and in some cases screening equipment and explosive detection dogs, authorities say.
Police have today released detailed advice to help spaces (like malls, schools, and sport or concert centres) prevent and manage active armed attacks in crowded environments.
It’s part of Protecting Our Crowded Places from Attack, New Zealand’s first-ever national strategy for preventing and managing mass-casualty events - like the Christchurch mosque killings.
Years in the making, the strategy and guidelines have been developed by a cross-government group of nine agencies led by Police and including the Security Intelligence Service (SIS) and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
They urge those in charge of crowded places to seek expert advice and set detailed emergency plans for potential attacks.
Director general of the SIS Andrew Hampton told the Herald “The most plausible domestic violent extremist attack scenario remains a lone actor who has radicalised online and prepares for violence without any intelligence forewarning.
“Any attacker is most likely to use easily accessible weapons such as knives or a vehicle."

THE TIMES OF ISRAEL ATTACK CK DAYS AFTER HIS EXECUTION
It hasn't taken long for The Times of Israel to smear one of their biggest supporters, writing:
The list goes on, but the point is clear. Charlie Kirk was an extremist: racist, misogynist, fascist. Undeniably, Kirk was an evil man who dedicated his life spreading hate. It is doubtful that his devotion to Israel stemmed from genuine solidarity with Jewish history and Zionist ideology, which sought to find a safe haven for the Jewish people. More likely, it was rooted in his evangelical belief that the return of Jews to the Land of Israel is a step toward a messianic end-times prophecy.
Either way, Israel should not be flattered. Even in this era of unprecedented isolation, our cause is not so desperate that we must welcome with open arms every supporter, at any cost. When figures like Kirk become our loudest defenders, it says more about us than about them. It suggests that the moral foundation of Israel’s legitimacy is being eroded until only voices utterly alien to the values upon which the State of Israel was founded remain. And if that is the case, then we should ask ourselves: were these ever the advocates we needed in the first place?

The companies want you to believe if you are a good person your image will be deleted.

The number plate-spotting company at the heart of a Court of Appeal challenge is now offering facial recognition inside shops.
At stores that sign up to use Auror’s new system, everyone who enters will have a temporary biometric template made of them.
The system would check the template against the store’s own list of risky people, via facial recognition software provided by a third undisclosed company.
If no match is found, the template is immediately dumped, according to Auror’s website, about the new Subject Recognition system.
“It cannot in any way be used for profiling, prediction, tracking, monitoring behaviour or targeted marketing purposes,” it said.
Auror already has automated number-plate recognition (ANPR) technology widely spread across the country. Briscoes, Mitre 10, Woolworths and Z Energy, among others, use it, according to the website.

I retired from working as a doctor in 2006. I started to speak out against the covid vaccine in mid 2021. At that time I had not been practising medicine in any capacity at all for over 15 years and now it is 19 years since I have practiced medicine. Because I am not practising as a doctor I have no insurance to protect me against this medical council fine.
I spoke out against the Pfizer vaccine as a mother, not as a doctor.
