Reserve Bank board chairman Neil Quigley has resigned “with immediate effect” in the wake of the shambolic handling of Adrian Orr’s resignation as Governor.
Finance Minister Nicola Willis made the announcement just before 6pm on Friday - the day after the Reserve Bank revealed Orr temporarily stepped down as Governor a week before the public was told he resigned on March 5.
Orr stayed out of the office, as the board presented him with a letter raising concerns over his conduct in meetings, the lack of trust between him, the board, Treasury and Willis, and whether Orr could do his job with less funding than he wanted.
When Orr resigned, the board agreed it would “withdraw” the letter, as Orr contested parts of it.
Quigley refused to elaborate on why Orr resigned on the day of the resignation, only to say it was a “personal decision”.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. said the National Institutes of Health is beginning studies to determine if a link exists between psychiatric medications, such as SSRIs, and violent attacks.
Kennedy's announcement on Fox & Friends comes following a Minnesota Catholic school shooting on Wednesday at the hands of 23-year-old Robin Westman, who transitioned into living life as a woman. In their manifesto, Westman described having struggled with depression for years and also believing they had terminal cancer caused by vaping.
"I am severely depressed and have been suicidal for years," Westman wrote in their manifesto. "Only recently have I lost all hope and decided to perform my final action against this world. I don't want to kneel down for the injustices of this world. I want to die. I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees, constantly in pain."
Westman also lamented in the manifesto written in Russian Cyrillic script that they were "tired of being trans" and that they wished they "never brain-washed himself," The New York Post reported.
"We are doing those kind of studies now," Kennedy said in response. "At NIH we're launching studies on the potential contribution of some of the SSRI drugs and some of the other psychiatric drugs that might be contributing to violence. You know, many of them on there have black box warnings that warn of suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation. We can't exclude those as a culprit, and those are the kind of studies that we're doing."
SSRIs which stand for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are the common class of medication to treat depression. Some name brand labels within this drug class include Lexapro and Zoloft, both of which list on their labels that it can actually increase the risk of suicidal thoughts on those 24 years or younger. There is also a warning on both drugs for parents to contact their medical professionals if their child begins "acting aggressive, being angry, or violent" or "acting on dangerous impulses."

The Bell Hotel in Epping has been at the centre of controversy since the Court of Appeal overturned an injunction ordering the removal of 138 migrants from it.
Many councils have promised to fight back against asylum hotels in light of the Court of Appeal's decision, however when Labour MP Bridget Phillipson was asked if she agrees with the Home Office that the rights of illegal migrants are more important than the rights of the people of Epping she had a simple answer.

This is how governing politicians, doing the work of the World Economic Forum and traitors to their own people, would answer all around the western world. When pressed, they will not bother to hide it.
