Day 2 starts @ 10am at the Manukau District Court in Auckland.
Liz & supporters were waiting outside the court until it got too cold.
What is happening today?
1. Completion of Liz's testimony- cross examination from the procecusion.
2. Jonathan's testimony
3. 1st witness, Ray Cobb, former policeman.
He will report on the kind of intervention procedures the NZ police should use when interacting with the public.
4. 2nd witness - Dr Rene Monchy (who saw everything from a few meters away & also gave Liz a medical examination assessing her injuries)
The supporters of Liz & Jonathan know that the case should have been thrown out, but look forward to what is to come.
If the defendants are found guilty, then that will make it absolutely clear, that it is not possible to have justice in this country.

The first session saw the cross examination of Liz Gunn by the prosecutor.
The prosecution seem to be attempting to create the narrative that the police officer was trying to help Liz up and any injuries she sustained could have come from the public.
That in itself is unbelievable, considering there are no charges related to anyone else for assault against Liz. Plain and simple, the police are lying. Nothing new there
Liz was assaulted by the police and has the physical injuries to prove it.
And they are suggesting any kicks she received could have come from other members of the public.
It looked like a deliberate attempt to traumatised Liz all over again.
She got through it & now we are going back in to court to hear the testimony of Jonathan Clark.

The rest of the morning consisted of the testimony of Jonathan Clark followed by Dr. Rene De Monchy.
Jonathan gave an account of how when he was tackled by police.
He was concentrating only on his camera apart from the suddeness & violence of the assault, which left bruises on his arm & smashed his camera, he had no complaints about his further treatment.
Dr. De Monchy was testifying via a live stream link from Switzerland. For him, it was between 2 and 3 am.
The session was marred by technical difficulties.
Rene, who was standing very close & had an unobscured view described how the assault by the police seem to him to be entirely unprovoked as well as violent.
When Liz said to police "You are hurting me!", the officer said "Good!"
He reported on Liz Gunn's condition after the event, seeing she was pale & in shock, but composed.
Medically, she had bruises & swelling to the right wrist, which he diagnosed as a fracture of one bone in her wrist. He cld see that she was in great pain.
Writer's note: with these injuries, it is Liz who is being charged for assault by placing her hand on the security guard's shoulder.
We have not had a medical report as to the extent of injuries to this person's shoulder.

Judge Janey Forrest has reserved her decision and intends to deliver it on May 21st at the Manukau District Court at 3.45pm.
The gallery was packed with supporters, many of whom felt the process was clearly unjust and are disappointed there was no positive outcome today.
The court heard from Ray Cobb who went into the police "force policy" drafted in 1961 and still is part of the main rule book in use today.
He said the police did not follow correct procedures regarding tactical communication with the public and regarding active listening. They did not deescalate the situation - they actively escalated it.
CSM spoke to defence lawyer Mathew Hague from Frontline law who said "It went very well and we're hoping for the right result."
When asked if there is a plan should the decision go against them, he said "We certainly have options should that be the case."
Following the days conclusion Liz addressed supporters and said she was so disappointed with what happened in the court room that she herself would leave the Bar.

NZ First are introducing the 'Fair Access to Bathrooms Bill' - something that barely a decade ago would have stirred up laughter and disbelief. After all, the times we are living in can only be described as insane.
The move by NZ First to restore some sanity (as well as safety) in bathrooms, is welcomed however, despite the woke mob kicking up a fuss over the bill.
According to Winston Peters:
"We have seen a similar move in the United Kingdom this month, with building regulations due to change later this year, making it compulsory to provide separate facilities for men and women for all new restaurants, bars, offices and shopping centres."
"New Zealand First campaigned to defend the right to privacy, personal safety, and freedom from harm for all New Zealanders, and this Bill demonstrates a much-needed commonsense solution to an issue that has often been overshadowed by ideology."
The Bill also introduces fines for those who use toilets designated as single-sex and who are not of that biological sex.

MOTHER'S DAY MUSINGS!
What an absolute blessing and joy it is to be a mother.
The chance to carry, birth and raise my son has been nothing less than an honour that feels like a sacred rite, so natural & necessary to the experience of being an adult female.
I am reminded on my second Mother's Day that every day is Mother's Day and he is my gift.
And he truly is.
On a day that can easily fall into commercial pressure and superficial appreciation, it's the simple things that I am grateful for.
A smile, a kiss, a cuddle, a laugh...
It's such a cliche that one can't describe a mother's love but it really is true.
I can't say enough how much I love my son.
It's a bitter sweet experience as each stage is anticipated and seems to pass so quickly as each new skill is mastered.
Before I know it he will be flying the nest and it is with a great sense of responsibility I battle with my own anxiety not to fuck it up.
And whilst it may seem crazy to bring a new being onto this plane at this time, I believe we are in a time of great transformation and many souls yern for the earthly experience, with boundless love and creativity to offer solutions to the world's woes.
To all the mothers out there, you are the glue that holds the world together, never underestimate the power of your role and your worth.
