While the event happened right across the country with a great turnout, we can't help but feel this was a very watered down occasion with protesters called out to protest the government while obeying all the rediculous government mandates.
Isn't it about time the various protest groups across the country worked out that the core issue is a dictatotiral government rolling out a globalist agenda and the only solution is to go down to parliament and camp there until the whole rotten lot is thrown out from the top down and a new system built from the bottom up?
Since Groundswell has turned out to be a damp squib, will a stronger and more resilent leadership emerge to determine NZ's future?
Counterspin talked to many people on this rally today and we feel that the people are ready to demand big changes

The NZ Police have summoned Brian Tamaki and his wife Hannah Tamaki to front at the Auckland Central Police station at 9.30am due to them speaking at Auckland’s National Compassion Day last Saturday 20th November 2021 at the Auckland Domain.
Brian Tamaki is likely going to prison, not because he breached, but because he exercised his right to Freedom of Expression (Free Speech), and his Right to Protest (Freedom of Peaceful Assembly).
Brian Tamaki did not break any of the COVID-19 restrictions.
His lawyer said that he had a right to protest. This should put every Kiwi on notice.
What’s really on trial here is the Freedom of Speech and the NZ Bill of Rights.
Tamaki will make a statement from his lawyer to the media before entering the police station.
Brian Tamaki’s solicitor has said this is absolute BS, and he knows his New Zealand law inside and out.
This is political prosecution at its worst!

In this "deadly pandemic", why would Starship Children's Hospital send a 5yr old with a tooth abscess to the "dirty ward"?
Alongside "covid positive" cases or those displaying "covid symptoms," is the last place a young boy, fighting an infected tooth, should be.
The hospital also refused to x-ray him.
Furthermore, his mother, Anna Rose, a Counterspin correspondent, was denied access to the person who was waiting downstairs with a bag of clean clothes & phone charger. It was 30 minutes before being escorted by 2 security guards to get the bag. This was not hospital policy & she did receive an apology the next day.
Earlier, she was yelled at to “get back in the room” when attempting to take her son to the toilet.
She felt bullied & harassed for not accepting a Covid swab for her child.

UPDATE: Police are securing the venue as we speak. PM expected shortly.
Pat Snedden, the Auckland District Health Board Chairman & his Deputy Tama Davis, are also expected.
They will all join a zoom expected to go from 08:50 - 09:45 thanking the wider community of health care workers in Auckland.
