Rundo on the recent situation with (Jake Lang) trying to co-opt the Active Clubs movement and straight up setting up his own larpy militia version.

the Active Clubs were built as a decentralized, no-bullshit network focused on fitness, discipline, and real community building. local crews training hard, staying independent, and keeping it about action over streaming.

Now you’ve got Jake Lang coming in, launching what he’s calling 'Crusader Active Club' with an app and everything. He’s clearly trying to ride the wave of the Active Club brand while pushing his own thing. Some see it as a blatant attempt to co-opt the name, the aesthetic, and the momentum that Rundo and the original crews built.

could be a opt or straight-up grift and entryism, this is the kind of thing that happens when something starts getting popular — people show up trying to redirect the energy for nefarious reasons

Trevor Lynch reviews the latest Disney Star Wars product, The Mandalorian & Grogu and finds that the woke has been put away:

"I believe that a decade of relentless online mockery of woke Star Wars finally broke someone’s spirit at Disney, because The Mandalorian & Grogu seems to go out of its way not to offend, dialing back the wokeness to the level of George Lucas’ originals, which seem reactionary by contemporary standards.
Sadly, although there’s nothing to offend here, there’s precious little to enjoy."
