The French soldier, nationalist activist, and historian Dominique Venner ended his own life in Notre Dame Cathedral on this day in 2013 as an act of protest against the direction his country has taken in recent decades. Counter-Currents was the first to translate the two texts he wrote shortly before his death to explain his act into English. In commemoration of his sacrifice, we are featuring them in Counter-Currents' Classics Corner.
