More normie Republicans every day are going from "Imagine if the positions were reversed?" pleading to maintain the present system, which they imagine to be fair, to "Maybe we should reverse positions on this. These Leftists are too stupid, crazy, evil, and dangerous to risk letting them get back in power again. Let's see what we can do to make that impossible." A system that puts a senile puppet and people who sound like crazed religious cultists in positions of power is broken and needs to be fixed. We need to start disempowering crazy people.
A propos of my earlier comment, this is the latest from Patrick Buchanan:
"A question needs to be put to the left in America.
"If your adversaries in politics are indeed fascists, racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes and bigots, as you describe them, why would, or should, such people accept and embrace your rule over them β simply because you managed to rack up a plurality of ballots in an election?
"Free elections to decide who governs are, it is said, the central sacrament of democracy. But why should people who are described with every synonym for βdeplorableβ not reject the politics of compromise and instead work constantly to overthrow the rule of people who so detest them?"

"No one today accused of racism can prove the accusation to be false. This means that the accuser cannot be held accountable, and because of this, as long as the threat of being accused of racism is widely and commonly resisted and feared, the Left will use it with increasing recklessness and indifference to whatever damage it does."

It might be helpful to consider the notion of βperformative utterancesβ (hereafter, performatives) as developed by J. L. Austin, a British language philosopher.
"Similarly, in the world of business, we note the predominance of the acquisitive instinct, the desire for more. The 19th and 20th centuries featured company amalgamations, corporations, cartels, and the ascendancy of financial oligarchies. A person in possession of one billion dollars might very well be content to enjoy a secure and stable existence. Nevertheless, the 2,200 billionaires of the world continue to increase their holdings at a relentless pace."

Three readers have asked me to comment on the current state of βthe movement.β As Counter-Currents enters our twelfth year, I think it is an appropriate time for such a discussion. In fact, Iβll make it an annual tradition, since I intend to be around for many years to come.
All three readers think the movement is in a malaise. I want to argue that this is not the case. The Biden administration is dangerous, but it is also a golden opportunity for white identity politics. It is an opportunity in part because it is dangerous.

"For example, take a gander at 35-year-old Nashea Brown. She stands accused of terrorizing a Walmart in Knoxville, Tennessee by taking off her clothes, defecating on herself, and wielding an ax at others. The news report states she 'was found in the sporting goods section with an ax and a knife tucked into her bra,' and I think thereβs a participle dangling somewhere there along with her presumably dangling chocolatey teats β unless this miracle woman is capable of tucking an ax into her bra."
