And here I thought that Russia is making war on Ukraine and killing countless people. I am glad The American Conservative is there to set us straight. Actually, the US is making war on Russia and killing countless people.

This is pure Russian propaganda. Why are Tucker Carlson, The American Conservative, and others promoting Moscow's mendacious framing?

When I was young I used to enjoy "JayWalking" on the Jay Leno show, where they go up to strangers and ask questions that everyone should know the answer to.

Like "at what temperature does water boil?" and "where on this map is Europe" - and the person would always get it wrong. He'd point to Australia for France, for example.

That's all I can think about when I hear Americans talk of "the war against Russia".

There is no war against Russia (outside the Q-anon mind), but the propagandists don't have to take that little fact into consideration.

The sheep are now so stuck in the metaverse that propagandists no longer have to relate their propaganda to reality at all. They can just build their narrative and it will stick, no matter how crazy.

And so we have the whole Anglosphere Right becoming Q-anon style experts in geopolitics, talking about a war that doesn't exist... and what will happen when "America loses the war" that it's not even in.

But at least the conservatives are living up to their reputation of being anti-intellectual.

Forgive me for not following closely all one million schizo takes on Oliver Anthony. But from what I heard, they took the form of "He's being astroturfed to make the right look bad/deflect from race/keep people from joining NJP/keep people voting Republican." I don't recall anyone saying he was astroturfed to get to #1 as a populist hero only to unmask himself as a hick lib Biden supporter.

Forwarded from The Homeland Institute
The Homeland Institute is proud to announce the results of its first poll which was conducted August of 2023. We asked 796 respondents who are politically and demographically representative of white American voters about the strength of the charge of “racism” versus the charge of “woke.”

The results are intriguing to say the least. For example, the accusation of wokeness has almost 70% of the power of an accusation of racism for whether respondents would actually follow through with boycotting a business.

Another major finding is that among white Republican voters, an accusation of wokeness being leveled against a candidate was almost twice as damaging as the charge of being racist.

But the most interesting finding was that 7.2% of white Republican respondents said that an accusation of racism would actually make them more likely to vote for a political candidate.

Folktrove is launching a new webpage to recognize those who have contributed to our digital library by loaning or donating their physical libraries to us for digitization. Without the generosity of our first listed contributor, Greg Johnson of Counter-Currents, many of the works in our digital library may have been lost forever. We were provided so much material by Greg Johnson, that we are still digitizing many of the works provided to us months after we received them and will likely not be finished with them until the end of the year. In recognition, we have forever memorialized Counter-Currents on our website! folktrove.com/recognitions/
