Orthodox Christianity is not inherently based. It is subject to the same if not worse degeneration characteristic of all Christian churches. What is genuinely based are the people practicing the Orthodox religion and individual priests. The upper clerical hierarchy is usually more corrupt than the E. European average and they show no signs of changing.
