Why the Concept of the Cathedral Is Nonsense

What this Roe v Wade decision says to me is that judges can be swayed by compelling and thoughtful analysis of legal issues.
I don’t know that all of the talk of “baby murdering” and religious invocation had as much to do with the decision itself as those who attacked its shaky legal foundation.
Popular talking points go a long way in shaping public opinion on issues, garnering support, donations, moral authority, and the like, all helping to push an issue in a certain direction. That coupled with high legal arguments that cut into the regime looks to be a great potential way forward.

The one real downside I see to Roe being overturned is that leftists have suddenly become extremely animated again—before the draft opinion leaked, they were mostly just running interference for the DNC and the Biden administration, making memes about how inflation isn't actually that bad and you should just shut up about the war—they were relegated to the ordinary role of enforcing day-to-day compliance with the neo-liberal regime.
Now they have returned to the delusion that they are somehow "dissenting voices" and that "the system" is against them in some meaningful way—the kind of rhetoric you'd have heard in the era of anti-WTO demonstrations, or the protests against the 2004 Republican National Convention—we saw the power of this animating delusion in the 2020 race riots and we will see it again this summer.
