It seems irrational for Western leaders to push for economic sanctions against Russia in the immediate aftermath of the Covid crisis. Can we really afford this? But sanctions against Russia allow our leadership to blame the coming Covid recession on Putin. Our rulers are less concerned about whether you can buy bread than whether they can escape blame.

America's First Amendment gives you the freedom to advocate mass murder of entire groups of people. The government gets involved when you make threats more specific. According to the court documents in the Tyler Dinsmoor case, he posted very specific threats:

He said he “was 9mm away from fedposting two f****** at home depot yesterday.”

Then he fixated on the Anacortes Pride Parade and was asking people to “talk me out of it.”

Then the police showed up, to talk him out of it.

This was a good call by the authorities.

If only they would respond to BLM and Antifa with the same zealous enforcement.
