Many White Elites place their universalist ideals above pragmatism, but this isn't all that different from certain White Christians who prioritize saving would-be aborted Black babies over impeding their own demographically-based disenfranchisement. They don't care about becoming a hated minority wherein their own children will be raped and murdered by the same Black babies they saved. They only care about the moral paradigm and adherence to it. Perhaps such adherence can save the eternal soul but it will not shield our progeny from the eventual consequences.

I sometimes can't wrap my head around the way in which some Christians disconnect from reality. If Blacks have babies ad infinitum, they will increasingly exhaust resources and put greater and greater strain on infrastructure. This will bring about suffering greater than that of abortion, because it won't just be those fully grown Black babies who suffer. The babies being saved moreover are not going to be the best and brightest. They will likely be the dumbest, most violent and least able to defer gratification.

Again, this is not to say that I think abortion is moral. In fact, I am glad to see the outrage against it, and the desire to end its cultural acceptance, but my own personal convictions about it don't negate reality. What Christians should be doing right now is pushing for a whole array of cultural and legal reforms to accompany an overturn of Roe Vs Wade, but I suspect they won't. I suspect, most just simply believe that abortion is evil and that all they need to do is defeat it.

It seems to me that the American Right has been placed in an impossible position:

1. Oppose a ban on abortion, and be someone who approves of abortion

2. Celebrate a ban on abortion, and watch as the black population sharply increases and your grandchildren who would have been white end up being brown instead

Of course, (2) is only a problem for honest right-wingers.
