Today is sort of a milestone for me personally on the “journey”. The censorship/deplatforming stuff is really what called forth my righteous indignation and “turned” me.
However you feel about the guy, one of the first straws placed on the camel’s back for me was when Twitter banned Milo for bantzing on the hideous negress Leslie Jones for that retarded Ghostbusters movie. He would end up being a canary in the coal mine with respect to being “cancelled”. You can be the judge of how that turned out for him.
After Trump’s election and especially after Charlottesville we saw many people lose their accounts/platforms, their livelihoods and some even their freedom because of coordinated efforts from glorified hall monitors.
The final straw was the complete un-personing of individuals and organizations through de-banking, denial of basic services like payment processing and denied access to the online marketplace (Amazon) on top of the social media censorship.
What happened today was a great morale boost and hearing the lamentations of our enemies is always welcome. But frankly I want nothing to do with them anymore. Whereas back when Milo was being cancelled I was open to “free and fair debate” with them, now, I just want them crushed.
They’ve really fucked up doing what they’ve done over the past decade.
