Tis a good point though, pack accordingly! Sun cream, rehydration sachets, and WARM gear for night time! No matter how hot it is in the day, the night still bites back! Always worth packing an extra blanket!

💗 The Charity auction - 8pm Sunday
With 100% of proceeds going to charityCore Element's Live Charity Auction is your opportunity to offer something special to the community, and bid for some unique treasures yourself!
You can create something new, but if you already own something that you feel really hits the vibe of Core Element, we'll likely take it!

While we will have paper forms to take spontaneous donations during the festival, please also use the online registration form to pre-register so we can prepare.

Items and donations can then be handed in at the red Charity Auction Gazebo, from Friday afternoon, until 12 noon on Saturday.
At noon the tent will close, but you will still be able to peep through its windows at the treasures within.
When the Gazebo is closed, donations can still be handed in, but you will have to read the information posted at the Gazebo to track down the auction crew.

Weave sonic magic with fellow musicians, whether you have an instrument or not! All skill levels welcome! Instruments are limited, so it is encouraged to bring something if you wish, even if it's your voice! Drums, guitars, flutes, didgeridoos… If it makes some noise, bring it!

We've had some belting weather this summer so far, and it looks like it'll continue! However, this hot, dry weather, brings with it some risks.
And that's what we need to address today.
Many councils across the UK, including ours, have raised the wild fire risk level. Which effects what we are allowed to do on their land.

👉 These guidelines are subject to change depending on the weather.

At current, we've had to make some changes and wanted to let you know ASAP.
So let us explain what's changing, and why, before you start getting ready for your trip💗

Camping stoves and open flames are no longer permitted on site.
This includes camping stoves (gas or liquid fuel), disposable BBQs, and campfires of any kind. No exceptions.
We know this will be disappointing news for a lot of you, cooking your own food at camp is part of the ritual (pun intended). But Elvaston Castle, our home this year, sits on a mixture of now, dry grassland and woodland.
A single stray ember, a stove being knocked over, or gust of wind near an open flame is all it takes for a small mistake to become a very big problem.
As we're sure you can all understand, that's not a risk we're willing to take with your safety, or the landscape and it's wildlife.

Smoking areas. 🚭
We'll have two dedicated smoking areas on site this year which are easy to get to, each with proper bins, dampened ground and sand buckets for safe disposal.
If you smoke, you must stick to the designated smoking areas.

Why we're doing this?❓
It's not just us. Many small and major camping / festival events across the UK are now following the same guidance and rules as a means to keep everyone safe. This is a nationwide choice councils are making to ensure safety.
Elvaston Castle is a beautiful, living landscape that is home to wildlife, ancient trees, and grassland that takes years to recover from fire damage.

We're doing everything we can behind the scenes too, extra fire watch patrols, extinguishers, water stationed across the site, and daily monitoring of fire risk conditions along with many other safety measures.
But we need your help to make this work ❤️

Don't worry, you won't go hungry! 🍔
We've got a variety of food traders on site this year serving options that cater to all! And of course we'd recommend that you bring snacks and munchies that you can enjoy.
If you need hot water for a noodle pot, you may approach crew who can assist, or our tea/coffee/desert trader will have some.

We appreciate this is a change, but we're grateful for your understanding. And of course, if conditions change we will let you know! 👈
