today i told myself to read a thing that is maybe, at best, 10 pages long. so obviously i have been avoiding that task all day long. i have been trying to read it for weeks, btw. and so, while procrastinating on shit i actually want to do, i ended up looking at old pictures

so i guess that this is the admin face reveal moment or something lol. pic from early 2019 tho. which, i remind you all, wasnt last year. its been over 3.5 years already. time flies.

exactly, im using my pinky finger as an anchor for the phone. i shouldnt be doing that because it puts extra stress in the ulnar nerve and hurts the wrists (my problems run deeper than that, but still, nobody should do it. that goes for you, dear reader)

i have given up in being able to install freedos on an usb stick from linux, never expected this shit to be this hard. there are computers with windows in this house and that would simplify the whole thing a lot but it is 5am and 5am is not a good time to go to some boomer and tell them "lemme use your puter 5 minutes" so im insisting on the "doing it from linux" thing. and here i am. dd-ing some prebuilt image downloaded from the internet to a dying usb flash drive. and i am pretty sure that this is the hardest part. installing a thing that is an alternative to a microsoft made product, that has "free" in its name, in linux. somehow that is the hardest part. world is so unpredictable sometimes.

its been years since last time i willfully used dd, at the very minimum i use ddrescue because it automatically adds the bullshit parameters like block size and whatnot. also im realizing i forgot to eat again. can someone politely ask the sun to burn a bit less hot the next summer?
