-someone discovers a VERY explosive substance. it literally can blow up because yes, and basically any movement has a chance of making it explode, unless you are very fucking careful
-ppl get heart attacks just by touching it, or inhaling it when working with it. "sunday heart attack syndrome", it even got its own name because it was so normal.
-if you dare to put even half a drop into your mouth, you get whats called as "bang head" (lol), your legs stop working properly, your insides suddenly are in so much fucking pain, etc
-the scientists decide to put it in their mouths anyway
-some other scientists decide to use it for actual medicine. but they dont use it for stuff it can help with. they use it for "there are ghosts in your blood" levels of homeopatic shit
-more scientists try to put it in their mouths, and start trying to develop tolerance to it
-there are nitroglycerin patches now, for transdermal absorption and stuff. ppl forget to remove the patches of explosives before trying to defibrilate some guys. oops.
-MORE SCIENTISTS TASTING NITROGLYCERINE, this time around offering it to any student brave enough to try it. they prank eachother with it now (okay this is just a theory... but its believable)
-some gal preaches to the world "yeah it makes your bones superb, trust me, here are my proofs" but her proofs are faked. what did she want? why did she want people to take nitroglycerin without any reason? what were her motives? my theory is that she was a goblin trying to make the human race drink "full body explosion, hehe" juice/poison for teh lols
