Seeing a lot of criticism for Rabbit, Humane, and similar devices. Both publicly on Twitter and privately. The bull case for an AI-native "agent-ic" device, is that it deprecates app-based user interaction. "Links: Answers :: Apps: Actions". I differ from
@vkhosla
here in that the bottleneck is in hardware or fabrication facilities alone. We actually do not have good action models yet, well grounded in natural language. It is quite likely that GPT-4.5 or 5 can likely get to the sort of sweet spot there as GPT-3.5 got to, for chat and text. However, when that happens, the bottleneck won't be the hardware, because these models can never run on-device, for the foreseeable future (next 2-3 years). More algorithmic progress on how to get such capabilities in models that can run on-device is still an open question.

Toyota chairman: Engines still play role in going carbon-neutral

Akio Toyoda, chairman of Toyota Motor, revealed on Friday that the Japanese automaker has launched a project to develop a new internal combustion engine, saying, "We will continue producing engines because they still play a role as a practical means of achieving carbon neutrality," or net-zero emissions of carbon dioxide.

Iโ€™m starting an incubator. Funded entirely by me. Itโ€™s called 8090.

Tell us what enterprise software you use and my team and I will build you an 80% feature complete version at a 90% discount.

We are using AI and offshoring to make this happen.
Weโ€™ve been duped for decades about food:

Turns out sugar isnโ€™t benign. Itโ€™s the real poison. Fats arenโ€™t actually bad. They are essential. Carbs arenโ€™t terrible. They are necessary.

Weโ€™ve been lied to about plastics. Vaccines. GMOs. The list goes on.

What is the consequence?โ€ฆ
