❇️ Special-Edition Journal, Pakistan

The Centre for Human Rights at the University College in Lahore, Pakistan, seeks contributions for a special-edition thematic journal on women’s marriage rights in Pakistan.

📍Submissions Guidelines
We invite the submission of abstracts from both scholars and professionals. The abstracts must not exceed 500 words. The abstracts should be accompanied by a brief author’s biography, which should not exceed 150 words.
Authors are encouraged to submit a select bibliography along with their abstracts. Authors must ensure that the abstracts are original and previously unpublished. Abstracts will be checked for plagiarism. If plagiarism is found, the submission will be disqualified. The abstracts must be on the thematic area of the journal: women’s marriage rights in Pakistan. The deadline for submission of abstracts is July 15, 2022. Abstracts, accompanied by an author’s biography, must be emailed to the following email address: info@cfhr.com.pk..

❇️ The 22nd Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies, Harvard University, March 16-18, 2023

The 22nd Annual Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies invites abstracts from current graduate students and recently graduated MA students from all disciplines for papers on any topic related to the long Middle Ages and its study. The organizers welcome abstracts for traditional 20-minute conference papers, as well as performances or presentations that utilize other forms of media (artistic collaborations, digital humanities projects, etc). They also particularly encourage relevant presentations from students in the fields of historical preservation, museum studies, or library and information sciences.

📍Submissions should consist of a paper title, an abstract of 300 words, and a 1-page CV (including the applicant’s preferred name and pronouns), and should be submitted as a single PDF by Monday, November 28, 2022 to vagantesboard@gmail.com.

❇️ Visiting Fellows may audit one course in any unit at Harvard University on a non-credit basis per semester, with permission of the instructor. There is no tuition charge for auditing courses. Visiting Fellows do not have faculty status. Appointment as a Visiting Fellow does not entitle the individual to participation in any Harvard degree program.


📍All applications must be received no later than February 1, 2023 via our online application form. Letters of recommendation should be sent directly from the referee to the Program via the online system. Late applications will not be considered. Applicants may expect emailed notification of Fellowship decisions in early to mid March.
