✅ Overview
The Qualitative Data Repository invites proposals from scholars whose work focuses on some aspect of law, law and society, legal institutions, or other law-related topics to pilot a new tool for making qualitative and multi-method research more transparent. The “Anno-REP” tool allows scholars to restructure, edit, and package annotations that enhance their digital scholarship. In particular, the tool facilitates the use of “annotation for transparent inquiry”, a new approach to making qualitative and multi-method research more transparent. Scholars whose proposals are selected for inclusion in the pilot will use the Anno-REP tool to annotate a manuscript based on qualitative or multi-method research that they are currently writing and plan to submit to a leading journal.

January 12, 2022 – Proposals due
January 19, 2022 -- Decisions on proposals announced
April 4, 2022 – Participants’ manuscripts with annotations and author logs due

✅ In 2023 the Federal Law Review - the flagship journal of the ANU College of Law - will publish a special issue on equality and public law, in conjunction with the Australian National University's 75th anniversary celebrations. This call for submissions is open to all, including but not only participants in the December 2021 conference on equality to organised by the Centre for International and Public Law (CIPL) on behalf of the ANU College of Law in commemoration of the anniversary.

📍Paper submissions for this special issue are due Friday 18 March 2022. Papers should ideally be between to 6,000-8,000 words, inclusive of footnotes.

Funding and Facilities
Fellows will receive a stipend of up to $5,000 per month. PLSMW will pay the monthly Law School appointment fee for the duration of a Fellow’s stay at the Program, which will ensure, among other things, library access to all Harvard University libraries, access to University recreational facilities (for an additional fee), an email account at the Law School, membership in the Faculty Club, and free admission to University museums. Visiting Fellows will receive an office at PLSMW or in the Harvard Law Library.

❇️ The Program on Law and Society Visiting Fellowship Program provides opportunities for outstanding scholars and legal practitioners to undertake research, writing, and scholarly engagement on law and society in Muslim majority and minority contexts. .
