YOUR ROLE: The applicant is able to represent intellectual property law in various contexts, not only but in particular in the context of technical and IT innovation, and is able to participate in the international discussion regarding the intersection of IP law with antitrust and other legal domains.

The responsibilities contain the research, the tutelage of students of the levels Bachelor, Master and doctorate, the preparation and the management of research projects, as well as the education at the various levels.

❇️ YOUR PROFILE:
- A PhD in Law, completed at least three years ago; an additional academic degree e.g. in engineering is welcome;
- A significant record of publications or shown potential to publish in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals;
- Experience and aptitude for teaching and supervision of research at university level;
- The capacity and interest to engage in academic research at the highest - level;
- The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual context. The person hired on this position must be proficient in English and French and should have a good understanding of German to be able to understand and include into the research the German doctrine.

Contract Type: The position at the Associate Professor level follows University of Luxembourg’s promotion-track career scheme and a possibility of promotion will be given after 5 years upon positive evaluation.

💢دادگاه عالی لهستان سقط جنین در صورت بیماری‌ مادرزادی را ممنوع اعلام کرد

دادگاه عالی لهستان طی حکمی سقط جنین در موارد بیماری مادرزادی را خلاف قانون اساسی دانست.

قوانین سقط جنین در لهستان پیش از این نیز یکی از سخت‌گیرانه‌ترین قوانین در اروپا بوده است، با این حال حکم جدید به این معنی است که سقط جنین در معنای عام تقریبا به طور کامل ممنوع خواهد شد.

با اجرایی شدن حکم جدید دادگاه عالی لهستان، سقط جنین تنها در موارد تجاوز جنسی، ارتباط با محارم یا به خطر افتادن سلامت مادر مجاز خواهد بود.

گروه‌های مدافع حقوق زنان پیشتر از دولت خواسته بودند محدودیت‌ها در زمینه سقط جنین را افزایش ندهد.

هزاران نفر طی روزهای گذشته برای اعتراض به قانون سقط جنین در لهستان، در شهرهای مختلف جهان به خیابان آمدند و با معترضان لهستانی ابراز همبستگی کردند.

دادگاه قانون اساسی لهستان حکمی را صادر کرده که به موجب آن قوانین سقط جنین در این کشور از پیش هم محدودتر می‌شود. با لازم الاجرا شدن این حکم، سقط جنین در مورد ناهنجاری‌های جنینی در لهستان عملا ممنوع شده و تنها در موارد محدودی از جمله بارداری ناشی از تجاوز جنسی و زنای با محارم یا وجود تهدید برای سلامتی مادر مجاز خواهد بود.

2 Year Post-Doctoral Fellowship (International Economic Law Focus) January 2021 To January 2023)

✅ The successful applicant will be expected to commence the Fellowship in the middle of January 2021 and conclude in the middle of January 2023.

BENEFITS:
1. The Fellow will be appointed to the full-time position of Post-Doctoral Fellow at CIL on a two-year contract, with a fixed annual remuneration of S$72,000. This all-in sum is inclusive of stipends for housing and living expenses.
2. The Fellow will be reimbursed for one return economy class airfare (by the most economical, safest and direct route) up to a maximum of S$2,000 to and from Singapore.
3. The Fellow will be allocated a minimum budget of S$3,000 to support attendance at regional and international conferences, with additional amounts subject to CIL Director’s approval.
4. The Fellow will be allocated shared office space within CIL.

❇️ DUTIES:
1. The Fellow will develop and carry forward a coherent research programme that ideally has demonstrable impact on the law and policy of international investment, international trade, and/or other areas of international economic affairs.
2. The Fellow will be expected to conduct research and develop a body of outstanding quality publications of his or her own in well-recognised peer-reviewed outlets.
3. The Fellow will be expected to work with the researchers in CIL’s Investment Law and Policy programme approximately 50 per cent of the time and contribute significantly to the objectives of that programme.
4. The Fellow will be expected to present his or her research and give invited papers at academic conferences and may be asked to provide expert opinion and commentary to external audiences and organisations.
5. The Fellow may be expected to teach or co-teach capacity-building training.
6. Subject to the standard NUS terms of annual leave, the Fellow will be expected to be in residence throughout the term of their appointment. In addition to annual leave, the Fellow may apply for leave to undertake research and fieldwork overseas, subject to the approval of the CIL Director.
