The Royal Navy announced the first flight of the full-scale autonomous helicopter Proteus on January 16. The aircraft is designed for anti-submarine warfare and other missions.

🔷 The project is part of a £60 million ($80.4 million) program aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the UK and its NATO allies in response to “evolving threats” in the region.

According to the Royal Navy, Proteus will be used for maritime patrol, tracking underwater targets, and conducting anti-submarine operations.
