Code Veronica is a good game, but i wonder: what's the need for a remake? why do they make remakes in the first place? there was a time when i used to get excited about them, but nowadays i find myself questioning whether it's really necessary to release a remake instead of making a completely new game.

remakes never surpass the original. at best, they might improve the story if they manage to fix some of its issues. maybe there are a few exceptions i can't remember rn, but that would be beside the point, cause the're exceptions

a close friend of mine once said the FFVII remakes are absolutely NECESSARY. but how do you even measure the necessity of a remake? wasnt the original already a masterpiece?

anyway, i just hope it's as fun as RE4 Remake was.
