A new crypto scam is reportedly circulating where scammers send “Flash Crypto” along with a TXID that looks like a genuine crypto transaction. The TXID itself cannot show that the crypto is Flash Crypto, making it difficult to identify the transaction as fake.
The tokens may appear when transferred between Trust Wallet accounts but reportedly do not show up in other wallets.
Users are advised to verify the actual receipt of funds before completing any deal.

A Rotterdam court today ordered 24-year-old convicted Dutch hacker Pepijn van der S. to remain in custody for at least another 90 days.
Police arrested the suspected ShinyHunters member on 15 September in Amsterdam. Investigators found information on his laptop about two murders planned abroad, with indications that he ordered them. He is now also suspected of attempted solicitation of murder.
Authorities stress that the murder-related suspicion is a separate case from the ShinyHunters investigation. Van der S. was not arrested in connection with the Odido telecom hack.
Van der S. was previously sentenced in 2023 to four years for hacking and extortion. He had been released earlier this year and was working in cybersecurity at the time of his re-arrest.
