⚡️Aleppo-Update: Threat of Ethnic Cleansing & People’s Resistance
The so-called Syrian Arab Army (controlled by HTS) has declared Ashrafiye & Sheikh Maqsoud military zones & issued an ultimatum to the population to leave the besieged districts by 3 p.m. through one of two designated corridors.
This is a call to carry out ethnic cleansing: Anyone remaining is considered “SDF” and therefore a legitimate target.
It is important to note that the SDF withdrew from these districts in accordance with the April 1 agreement with the Syrian Transitional Government (STG). The STG, however, has repeatedly violated the agreement and attacked these districts.
Fighting continues, initial tank-supported attempts to breach the neighborhoods have been repelled.
Demonstrations in support of the resistance in Aleppo have taken place in many cities in NES. The morale of the youth defending the neighborhoods is high, and as SDF Commander Sîpan Hemo said, Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiye are "unbreakable fortresses of resistance"

⭐️ Rêber Apo states that ‘Hope is more valuable than victory’. The Kurdistan Liberation Movement is a movement of hope. Because whatever is the outcome of an action, we will continue to have faith in the future and to put effort into every step.
⭐️ The resistance of Aleppo was a resistance that protected the dignity of the people and will go in the history of Revolutionary People’s War, that will enlighten our way to struggle even harder in the future.

For five days the people of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiye, shoulder to shoulder with some hundred lightly armed fighters, resisted against 4 islamist divisions support by Turkey. Despite the meager chance to defend their quarters, the people took a conscious decision. The people’s council gathered, discussed and announced to not surrender but instead to resist.
We will remain in Sheikh Maqsoud until victory or until martyrdom. We will never capitulate.“The internal security forces (Asayish) followed the decision of the people. Their commander Ziyad Helebe underlined, that they are willing to fight until their last breath. „We will remain in Sheikh Maqsoud until victory or until martyrdom. We will never capitulate.“

Notes from Imrali: Without democracy in Syria, al Sharaa will also become a dictator
On November 24, 2025, a delegation from the Turkish parliamentary commission established to adress the Kurdish question traveled to the prison island of Imrali to meet with Rêber Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). The parliament has now published the full transcript of the meeting. In it, Rêber Apo comments in detail on domestic and foreign policy, the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Kurdish question and Turkey’s future. His warning is particularly clear: if Syria is not democratized, an authoritarian development is foreseeable, even under the self-proclaimed interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa.
