📢 Statement of the Internationalist Commune of Rojava regarding the 12th congress of the PKK: We as Internationalists, are part of this historical New Beginning!
Between May 5-7 the PKK held its historical congress and declared that all activities under the name of PKK are halted and the party will dissolve itself.
The PKK has full filled its historical role and its dissolution comes at its own choice, from a point of strength and is necessary to overcome overdue mentalities and open the path to renewal.
But how will this new beginning gain strength? It will become strong with right participation and the understanding of our historical responsibilities and tasks as internationalist youth.

Tîjda Zagros – Our friend, internationalist & revolutionary fell in the Free Mountains of Kurdistan
Our friend Tîjda Zagros (Kelly Freygang) from Hamburg, Germany believed in the paradigm of Rêber APO (Abdullah Öcalan), & came to the mountains of Kurdistan in 2017, where she developed rapidly &, as an APOist militant, played a vanguard role.
On April 29 our comrade Tîjda fell in the Free Mountains of Kurdistan as a result of drone attacks by the Turkish army.
The HPG Press & Information Center’s statement reads: “Our comrade fell as a martyr on April 29, 2025, in airstrikes by the Turkish army. We promise to fulfill the goals of our comrade, for which she sacrificed her life.”
We, as internationalists in Rojava, join in this: We will pursue Heval Tîjda’s dreams at all times &, following in her footsteps, advance a contemporary internationalism.

During the 12th congress of the PKK, held between May 5 & 7 in two separate locations in the Free Mountains of Kurdistan it was announced that Heval Fûat (Ali Haydar Kaytan) one of the leading cadres of the party had been fallen martyr in 2018. Heval Fûat was a guerrilla, intellectual, politician, poet and first and foremost a truth seeker. We translated this article, originally published in 2020, where he speaks about the Internationalist character of the Revolution that Rêber Apo’s has been leading and deepening despite total isolation on the prison island of Imrali: “For Rêbertî, the solution to the Kurdish question is a tool for the march of freedom for humanity; the beginning of the Kurdish Revolution is the source of hope for the march of freedom for humanity.“

According to Heval Xebat Andok it depends on your awareness to not get lost in this : "You have to ask yourself: What do I learn? What do I watch? What do I look at? What do I read? When Armenian revolutionaries met the PKK in Lebanon
Monte Melkonian was an US-born Armenian revolutionary who struggled for the liberation of his land from Turkish occupation from the late 80’s until the Nagorno-Karabach war against Azerbaijan where he fell martyr on 12. of June 1993.
The struggle for the Armenian cause brought Monte to Lebanon There, he, together with other Armenians, Kurds, Arabs and Turkish fighters took part in the resistance against the Israeli invasion of the South-Lebanon. For some time his brother Markar joined him in Lebanon.
In a book Markar wrote he speaks about the PKK cadres they met at the PLO military camp in the Beka’a valley, talking about their approach, both among themselves and with the others militants. We decided to share this witness-report, which allows to understand how the PKK, from the very beginning, developed in a deeply internationalist context.

"Israel launched a wide-ranging airstrike operation against Iran. Unfortunately, this attack has further deepened the war that escalated on October 7, 2023, and which has already caused great harm to the people, leading to destruction and great suffering. The war, developed by states for the sake of power, authority, and hegemony, does not solve any problems and solely causes great harm to the people. Its only result is great suffering, death, loss, and destruction. The fact that war does not solve anything and only deepens and exacerbates the existing problems has been sufficiently demonstrated by the history of the Middle East, which has been marked by uninterrupted war for over a century. We condemn this war, which caused so much harm for the people. It must be realized by everyone that war is not a method to develop any solution. War policies must be abandoned."

Şehîd Fuat (Ali Haydar Kaytan) is immortal!
🌹 7 years ago Heval Fuat fell martyr on July 3, 2018 in the Free Mountains of Kurdistan. He was the first that joined Rêber APO in the struggle, was one of the founding members of the PKK and was declared the symbol of true comradeship with Rêber Apo.
